I just loved this campground. Very big campground it has. The young guy helped me to pump air to my bike and also saved my life.

I was forgot my sleeping bag in home and it was pretty dump. When I noticed, went the guy and asked if he might have emergency aliminium blanked . And he gave me one! So manage to sleep.

Also there is nice little pond on the river which way better to swim compared to to the bridge area.

Go , enjoy and have fun

Beautiful place to go camping! No cell reception/very little reception means quality time with family, friends etc. Beautiful hiking trails, playground for children and a partially paved roadway. The Meander River runs beside this campgrounds, and under the narrow bridge (this is located just before you turn into smileys) are some "honey holes" (my version of deep enough water to swim) to cool off when the sun is scorching (trust me when the sun is out it is hot, hot, hot). If you are looking to get away from the hussle and bustle of city life its only 50 minutes away from Halifax. Also a gas station about a 6 minute drive away.

My kids loves this place because have a great playground. I think it's really beautiful but no have many options to hiking. It's cool for biking and refresh in the river. The campsites are good. Perfect for kids.

Beautiful little park. Great staff very friendly. Few amenities if you need food or drinks you will not be able to buy at the park. Great prices 2.50 for a bag of ice and 5.00 for a bundle of wood.

One of my fave camping parks in the province; it's close to town, has the amenities that make things easier (showers and washrooms), always a great camp host, a river to play in, nice hiking and a beautiful surrounding area. It's a joy to visit every time.

A wonderful, quiet, family oriented Provincial Park where you can camp, picnic, walk your dog(s), birdwatch or just enjoy the tranquility. Gorgeous regardless of the time of year.

Such a great spot to camp or picnic. A beautiful slow moving river is there to help cool you off, and loads of walking trails. One of the best provincial parks around!

This was our first time here and we will definitely be back. The picnic area is perfect! The sites are nice and private. The spot we were at had access to the river!

Our daughter had her embers (formerly sparks/guides) end of year camp here and loved it. Really peaceful setting with a water feature and clear navigation signs.

Went there for my grandsons birthday party. Nice shaded green spaces. With picnic tables in covered areas. Perfect for tabletop barbecque. Large playground for the kids to play in and a river for them to take a dip. Large open field for them to run. Had a great time. Will definitely return.

It's a great park to enjoy some unplugged, screen free family time. There's not much connection in this area so no pesky pings every 5 mins! The grounds are spacious and clean. We love to go here to unwind and relax!

Wonderful place to be in tune with nature. My friend and I went on a mushroom hunting photo session. Such a variety! And, some beautiful shots!
Thank-you very much to the Smiley family for donating and sharing such a beautiful place! I'm from Manitoba visiting friends and each time I come here, we go to Smiley's Provincial Park.

An absolutely gorgeous Place. Perfect for children. The rivers are low in the summer and super excellent for splashing around. The area around is just beautiful. Great playground for kids. We wanted to live there all summer
