Lisa's Family Restaurant

I always try and have lunch here at least once during a visit home and it is always a great experience. Servings are plentiful and always delicious. This time I had the clams, and for a NS girl living in AB, these were a fine welcome home. Scalloped potatoes were a special side and were so creamy and tasty. Save room for dessert....I had the gingerbread with warm lemon sauce this time, but they are all amazing 👏

We were in town waiting for our vehicle to be serviced so decided to find a local restaurant to dine in at while we waited. We are thankful that we did because the service was amazing . Friendly staff , clean restaurant , very homely like and food was amazing . Hubby always gets a club house where ever we go because he
Says that if you mess that up it’s probably not worth going back there . Well Lisa’s family restaurant passed that test . And they don’t need to ask if you want cheese added to the sandwich for an extra fee , it’s included on the sandwich unlike many other places we have been too. Their gravy on the side was a good generous size and was only an extra $1
I had the scallops , clams and fries . A very generous portion . We were even asked by the waitress how it was tasting . The coleslaw that comes on the side is just like grandma used to make . Definitely worth checking out if you are in the Windsor area . Shop local 💕
We will be back again in the near future , just so we could have some dessert off that menu

AB. Most impressed. This place is warm and cozy and very friendly. After reading reviews we had to order peanut butter pie, to go. Too full to eat now.

I had one day left before I moved to New Glasgow and was hungry . Went here and was tired and looking for a meal. Had chicken fingers and fries and gravy. Was great. I will miss Windsor for its fine cafes and restaurants. Thank you for being so polite and friendly.

Tried this place for the first time and did not regret it! Affordable, delicious, friendly service, clean bathrooms and great atmosphere! And soooo many deserts to pick from: the bread pudding with whipped cream and butterscotch sauce was to die for. And i especially appreciated that there were NO tvs on the walls.

Food was fantastic. Our server was better. Little teapots, actual stoneware, was a fab surprise. We will be back!

The special of the fish cakes and beans were fantastic. A bit of green chow on the side. The Shepard pie needs some work. I don't know if they ran out ....not usually what comes to the table. The deserts....leave room. Large portion. Pics are of the bread pudding and gingerbread with a fresh sauce and whipped cream. Homemade. Soo good. Great staff.

visiting Lisa’s feels like coming home for a meal at mom’s house! The menu is unfussy, featuring a wide range of diner classics and simple staples, they have great pies, great fish, and the best staff. I have never had a bad experience here and my family has been going for over a decade!! We love Lisa’s.

Whenever I am asked to recommend a restaurant in the Windsor area hands down Lisa's is my go to. A down home menu with generous portions, baked beans and fish cakes to rival my Gram Winnie Rafuse's (sorry Gram) and fast friendly and efficient staff. great service and a charming family friendly atmosphere. If you miss our grandmother or moms cooking, Lisa has your back. Take home a loaf of homemade brown bread or a homemade peanut bitter pie....you will very glad you did.

Great service, exceptional dessert menu. I passed on th e desserts today but I always recommend the butterscotch or peanut butter pie you can't go wrong with either option. Coffee is good and the overall atmosphere is lovely.

*The Best* service that my family and I have had at a restaurant. Also, the best pork schnitzel I ever had.
Let me explain quickly.

My 2yr old was rambunctious and would not settle. The owner noticed this and made him a peanut butter sandwich for free! He also ran off into the kitchen. The staff were extremely friendly about it and he was full of smiles when he emerged.
The food was prepared quickly, and all members of our young family ate every bite!
We will definitely drive an hour to visit again!

FANTASTIC! Stopped in with our 2 small kids while passing through. The menu had great options for all, the prices were extremely reasonable, and the food was delicious! If it wasn’t all homemade, I’d be surprised. The fish cakes/baked beans were great and the gingerbread was unreal. Can’t wait to return.

We stumbled upon Lisa's by accident, but it was a great surprise. Our server welcomed us with a big smile ands we knew right away that we had picked the right place. The food was yummy, good serving sizes and quick service. The best part was the peanut butter pie; I would fly across the country again just for another slice!

Ordered the Fish and Chips, the daily special (Sheppards Pie) and the Pumpkin cheesecake. The food was good but the desert was just amazing!

Had an excellent lunch at Lisa's. I had one of their specialties....the Bologna Burger and it was absolutely delicious!! I had a spinach salad with it and it was a very generous portion. I highly recommend and we will definitely return.

July 6th...had another lunch. The fish and chips were delicious and my husband's seafood platter was huge. This is our favourite place to eat when we are in the Annapolis Valley! You have to go there!

April 15th, 2024....late lunch at Lisa's. Again, everything was top-notch. I was even lucky enough to get the last 6 amazing butter tarts! Our server, Daniel, was so attentive....a definite asset to this restaurant!!!

Wonderful home cooking and great service. Gluten free options and very accommodating. Although they were very busy the service was very prompt.

Cozy eatery, excellent food.

Wonderful little mom & pop kind of diner. The food is good ... dessert is amazing ( highly recommend coconut cream pie or gingerbread).
