Cozy and warm ambience with delicious cocktails! Such a bice place to unwind after a long week! I would say the food menu is a tad basic and could use a little more effort in my opinion, so if you are hungry and want tasty snacks with your drink - you might want to think twice if food is important for you

Took my partner on a gin tour for Christmas. This was our first stop and we had a great time.
They have a cozy dinning area with a wood fireplace, currently it is festivly decorated. A couple of their seats are up against the windows where you can see the occasional train go by.
Good selection of spirits and cocktails, we picked the spring flight which included 4 gin and one whiskey all very tasty.
They have some simple sharing dishes available to eat as well.

Great service and drinks, the smoked Caesar, coffee liqueur, and the spice mule, and more... all yummy! We came back here again months later to celebrate my son's birthday and graduation and had a tour and tasting which was fantastic. We then sat down for more tasting and despite the chaos going on tnere the ladies did their best to accommodate us which we fully appreciated

We decided to try this spot on a Sunday afternoon. The customer service was great from start to finish. The indoor and outdoor seating is nice as well. We got the signature cocktails: mojito and highball. Highly recommend!

The best drinks I’ve had In Guelph. Our bartender was Shelby. I’ve only been once but I was truly blown away. I couldn’t believe I was being served drinks like this in Guelph. My friend tried 3 cocktails which I tasted and I had a mock tail and even that was incredible fresh and well rounded in flavours. The space is also just beautiful. Not a very big space. Hope they add some more seating. Their bar snacks are limited. Eat beforehand if you are going later. Highly recommend.

We did the free distillery tour which was well done and afterwards we had a table in the bar. Drinks are well made and not too expensive. Staff was very friendly and attentive! Recommended!

We were there for a company party. Loved their double-double (if you are into coffee drinks), but the Al Capone is a must-have. The smokiness continues through the entire drink, not just a cute effect. Their Mill Mule is also delicious and very refreshing.

We discovered this Incredible gem. This is John Sleemans new project. A whiskey distillery that should produce in a few years and until then, they are producing the most incredible vodkas and gin. Smooth ... Enjoyed the patio, with the flight tasting and charcuterie Board. Staff are incredible and so educated and personable...you can buy the bottles after the tasting ( fees for the tasting) worth the trip.. you need to go. What an incredible place in Guelph!

This was by far the best tasting tour I have been on! Planned a birthday surprise here and the staff was very accommodating. Leanne was my point of contact for all the arrangements and she was absolutely amazing to deal with! The tour was an hour and a half and Scott was our guide. He was very knowledgeable and had the whole group laughing, making sure we were all having a good time. The customer service is worth more than 5 starts! If you want to enjoy something unique and affordable, with hosts that are just genuinely nice people, YOU NEED TO VISIT THIS PLACE! And to top it all off, the drinks were excellent and inexpensive! Will be visiting again for sure! :D

I've been meaning to check this place out for a while and we were in the neighbourhood so we stopped off for a quick afternoon snack. The menu offers a great selection of charcuterie boards and we went for the smoked salmon, cheese and fruit plate. Everything was delicious and the fruit was incredibly fresh. Of course we had to try one of the cocktails made from Spring Mill distillery's gin and vodka. There are tours available, or you can view the process from the windows surrounding the distillery. There was a tour while we were there and it was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday afternoon at 4. There is also a great little gift shop where you can buy Spring Mill products including gin, vodka, hats, and t-shirts. Definitely worth a stop and we will return to try some of the other food, and the desserts, which sound amazing.

Fantastic distillery!!! My husband & I are not liquor drinkers BUT we are a fan of Mr. Sleeman’s beer. We joined some friends in a distillery tour & John Sleeman’s distillery is phenomenal. It was our first tour of this kind & it was fascinating. We really enjoyed the in depth look at the process. Our guide was knowledgeable & answered every question without issue. The building itself has so much history. It was super neat to learn about the process & history. So much goes into it. Sitting at the bar was so fun. Watching the bar tenders making drinks of all sorts was mesmerizing. It was like watching an art show, their is science to the making of each drink. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you like vodka or gin. The place is easy to get to & the parking is abundant. Very clean & well maintained. It was a busy Friday evening but there was plenty of seating, did not feel cramped.

We can’t wait to do a tour of the Sleeman beer plant.

Amazing! Staff are A++! Very knowledgable about the food, drinks, and Guelph history. The cocktails are nice twists on classics. Fit example the gin and tonic is a spring and tonic with lemon, peppercorns, and sea buckthorn. There is also wine, coffee, and tea. It's not a restaurant but there are several boards with meats, cheeses, and things like hummus. You can take a tour of the distillery as well. Comfy chairs, huge fireplace, and stone walls complete the experience.

Had my wedding in The Cooperage Room in October 2021. It was such a phenomenal experience - from planning to execution. Christine is entirely to thank for such a seamless day. The room speaks for itself and needs very little decorations. We were able to have both the ceremony and reception in the same space. Tons of places for cool pictures throughout the distillery and surrounding area. So glad we went with Spring Mill Distillery for our big day!

Enjoyed a tasting of their whisky(ey)s. Best Ontario ryes we've had and their scotch style single malt is great. Not a fan of bourbon, but theirs is on point. Tasting glasses are a bit small for nosing, and we detected soap residue from washing? We bought a single malt and rye bottle to take home. Tasting room is cozy and incorporates original elements from the original 1800s distillery. We didn't eat anything but watched preparation of a generous charcuterie board. Be a tourist in your own town , and, bring visitors to a class operation.

The spiced mule is awesome! Crisp, smooth, and strong, without being boozie. They can be tricky for me to find at the LCBO sometimes though, so be sure to stick up while you're at the distillery.

Really good experience, they have good whisky even if you don’t like whisky you will for sure 😉

We recently celebrated my husband’s 40th birthday at Spring Mill Distillery. I cannot say enough about this wonderful place! From manager Tim’s professionalism and helpfulness right off the top helping us to book our event, to the incomparable Scott with his fantastic and highly entertaining tour guide abilities, to the bar staff who were friendly and fast with our food/drink orders, it was a perfect evening. They truly went above and beyond to accommodate us. The tour was highly informative, accessible, everything was reasonably priced and the whiskey is of such a high calibre. This is a relatively new venue in Guelph, however, once more word gets out, I suspect it will be the busiest spot in town. Go today!

The tour was extremely informative and the bar experience was fantastic. The drinks have as much character and class as the building. This could easily become a Guelph staple in a few short years.

With friendly, knowledgeable staff, visiting the Spring Mill Distillery was a highlight of my trip to Guelph. I had a Tom Collins cocktail, which was fantastic. Then sampled the Gin and Vodka after the fascinating tour of the newly renovated historic building situated in the middle of the Metalworks development, along the Speed River in downtown Guelph.

Great atmosphere... they did the place up well - very classy.
Great cocktails for a reasonable price, I tried 4 of them. My fave was the Mule.
They have a good selection of charcuterie/other appetizer type of foods if you want a nibble. Would be a nice space for an event.
