The Round Table Board Game Café Guelph

A friend and I were looking for a nice, nerdy way to pass the time when we stumbled upon this gem. It was an incredibly special occasion, and upon entering, Jordan was an absolutely amazing host for the night. She explained the rules, went along with our silly senses of humour, and was so, so sweet with some wicked humour to boot. The day was already magical as it was, but it was her presence and service that made it that much more special, and I will be eternally grateful for her contributions to the occasion. We will treasure the trinkets you gave us. Naturally, the selection of games was great, the food was awesome, and the drinks were loads of fun (still thinking about that habanero one) - genuinely the perfect end to our day, and we hope to be able to visit again someday in the future. Thank you! :)

Absolutely top notch store with an amazing selection of games and absolutely phenomenal themed decor. The staff is super friendly and make fantastic drinks. Definitely make a point to visit if you're local or passing through.

Great place 10/10 nerd spot. Board games, ttrpgs and accessories, bar life and awesome food.

A very special event brought me here and despite being a packed house everything ran super tight and smooth.

I used to have no reason to come to Guelph pretty much ever, but now I have the best reason to make the trip.

A fun place to visit. Many game options to play with your friends, unique architectural design and friendly staff, who would help you out finding a right game for your crew. Food was also ok, but the washroom not the cleanest.

Came here with a date, arrived early enough grabbed some food and played some games.

the server Tall Red haired guy, awesome server! bro I don't give 25% tips often, you earned it! Solid dude! so friendly and often asked us if we were good, a smile on his face!

She had the wings with fries, she very much enjoyed them, a bit spicy so she ended up getting a milkshake. She enjoyed hers. I had a order of the phoenix, or wrap with Buffalo chicken bacon lettuce not sure what else was in it, with fries on the side, sea salt and pepper, very good food, maybe a bit too much salt, but I don't normally have salt on stuff so might be me. milkshake I had was awesome, salted caramel and chocolate!

I asked about what games we could play with two people, my friend the server " he always says this " helped a lot and picked out some popular choices that were easy to learn and play. we had a good time with one of the choices and spent the majority of our time playing one game.

The place was a little empty at 1pm but this place should be packed! nice area, plenty of board games, 100% recommended. much love to this place and it's staff! thank you for making our visit a memorable one.

The food, amazing. The staff, lovely. The games, superb. I went here after showing some friends around Guelph and had the best time. Everything about The Round Table is so much fun and it’s definitely worth the trip.
Tom was our server and if you’re able to get a table with him he is so sweet and clearly cares about his customers a lot. Altogether a wonderful experience.

So much fun, not too expensive & loved the decor!! Tons of games to choose from

I have been going to the round table for a few weeks now for their Wednesday night trivia. It’s from 7-9 and you play two rounds while having the option to play your own board/card game between questions. It’s the perfect time to get dinner or a snack while having a few drinks with friends mid week (doesn’t have to be alcoholic either!!). The two regular staff who serve and run the trivia really add to the experience with their charisma, especially Jordan.
The atmosphere, drinks, game selection, and staff are why you should visit. A Guelph gem.
Food wise, the menu has very limited vegan options but you can sub any meat patty for a veggie patty on burgers which is nice. Is it mind blowing? No, but it still tastes good- especially the fries. As for the other menu items I haven’t tried them but friends I have gone with liked what they had.

In short - worth a visit with friends, reserve a table for anything larger than four ppl, expect a good time, and try out Wednesday night trivia

I freaking LOVE this place! It is super cozy, adorable, and has a great selection of board games! The food is tasty and it isn't super pricey. I also really like their Magic: The Gathering nights and events - which they offer enough MTG stuff that you can always grab a deck and join with ease.

An excellent place for a fun day/night out. More games than you can imagine, loads of space with different table configurations, decent drink and food options. Staff are great.

The ambience is amazing. I loved this place. Plus the store at the back has EVERYTHING you need for boardgames.
Was told that one can book the entire back area for special events.

Literally the best place in Guelph! The food is fantastic every single time, the drinks are so cool and mystery shots are so much fun. We ordered during the pandemic and they were so helpful and accommodating throughout the entire time. Everyone here has always been friendly and enthusiastic and I’ve been going there for years! The atmosphere is amazing and I love the tavern feel to the place. 15/10 please go here! You won’t regret it

Loved the space and the atmosphere. The food was tasty, too! Lots of gamers playing RPGs. Also appreciated the other local businesses tied into the Trading Post! This location is a great place to go and game, or create some art (which is what I did). Friendly staff and appreciated the conversation as I was picking up items at the trading post. I will be back with my whole family, as well as to explore the options for cos-play and swords! They also have games you can select to play, or bring your own! My hats are off to the owners for the vision and creativity to bring this place to life!

Really fun escape room's (they have 3) and they have a board game room with 750+ games. They have a Medieval theme throughout the place and it looks really nice you can tell a lot of time got out into it

We hosted our engagement party here last week and had a great time! Our servers, Cam and Jordan, were wonderful and there was a wide selection of board games to play. The food and drinks were also a big hit with our guests. We would certainly host another event here again!

The staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful with making recommendations for games and even explaining the rules to us newbies! The food and drink were yummy and the ambience puts you in just the right mood to dive into one of their many many many excellent games. Would 1000% recommend checking it out!

Fantastic place to eat, drink, and play tabletop games. The food is quite tasty and the drinks are mainly from local breweries. They have a vast selection of board games to select from and play at your table, ranging from quick, 5-minute ones to multiple hour-long ones. They also have a games and colletable store located inside. Over all, a definite place to visit if you like to eat and play with friends and/or family!
