Royal Inn & Suites

I went to the hotel after hanging out with my family. After reading the online reviews, we had low expectations for our stay. Surprisingly, the staff was extremely friendly, someone was always at the desk to help us with our inquiries even in the wee hours and we were checked in on a good room. The room ambiance which was contradicting what we have read so far. The staff told us that rooms have been renovated and further improvements are to be expected when we come back.

Loved staying at the Royal Inn! Its prime location in downtown Guelph offers easy access to local attractions and dining. The hotel itself is clean and well-maintained, with friendly staff.

I had a good Queen bed room (322) nice and cozy. Everything available. Good neighborhood with plenty of convenience stores, restaurants and bars at walking distance. Right in front of the Guelph central station for anyone who's traveling. Good reception, both evening and morning staff were extremely nice. I can understand the security deposit but I never seen it anywhere else I stayed. I just removed a star from service because I couldn't change channels on TV and the lady wasn't sure if there was gonna be breakfast in the morning. Other than that everything was perfect.

Staying here for a few days, I chose it because of its low price point and convenient location. (120$ downtown). Upon arrival I expected poor service from this place as on maps it’s rated at 2 stars, however I was pleasantly surprised when greeted by the friendly staff at the front desk. Don’t get me wrong, the hallways are a bit dated for decor but you don’t rate a meal on how easily it can be thrown at a bird, you rate it by taste. Not sure what that’s supposed to mean, but I’m saying I’ll rate the hotel room for the experience staying there. The Room I got (221) was Newly Renovated and very clean. The room comes with a fridge, Microwave, dresser, TV, AC, Coffee machine with free coffee and tea, desk and free high speed WiFi. The Bathroom was also newly renovated and stocked with all the freshly pressed white towels you would ever need. The bed is very comfy with pristine white linen sheets and some soft pillows. Hardwood floors make the room come together as there are no suspicious stains on the ground. They also offer a Hot breakfast for around 10$ (would recommend). As far as Bang for your Buck goes, it doesn’t get much better than this.

Needed a room for the night because of an emergemcy, i liked it so much I ended up staying for a second night, just because.. Quiet, comfortable, ultra friendly, affordable and perfectly located. You could do much worse than spend the night here. Five stars from me.

Exactly what we needed for my Bachelor Party. Close to downtown, the place was clean, and I got 8 guys into two rooms with 2 queen beds each. My primary concern before we got there was bed bugs, but the place is definitely clean. Other than that, the place was what you'd expect from a cheap hotel. I would go again!

Nice place but the parking was limited. I needed a handicap spot for mrs bates and there were none within a block so i checked out. Bye bye.

There was supposed to be no smoking in the motel but someone was smoking a big waterpipe with Marijuana thats ok get hi

I stayed a couple of weeks with my son, there are good places to eat.Management was very attentive. Breakfast does not vary much but It Is good.

Always been supportive of helping our needs when times were low and surviving together to make a once snoozy street and turn it into a home-like feel and bringing life on the East side of Carden. I will always love the folks here and down by 90 Carden and I got y’alls back. Much Love and may the future hold a bright light for us all to sit by the golden gates!
