4 dogs and 5 years later and they are still the best vet in town. The front end staff are so welcoming and accommodating. They stick to your appointment time so you are not left waiting long. The techs and vets are extremely knowledgeable, we always feel confident our boys are in great hands! They also offer a Healthy Dog Plan which is more cost effective and also helps to remind you not to forget a vaccine. Overall they are fantastic!

This has been my best veterinary experience so far. My dog, Beignet, is super fearful which makes vet visits a real challenge. The team at Guelph Animal Hospital is so patient with us, respectful of my dog's needs, and works with me to come up with solutions to help manage her stress during routine appointments and diagnostic procedures such as blood work. As we navigate a potential long-term health concern, I am glad to have this vet clinic, the front desk staff, the vet techs, and the veterinarians on my side. When I call looking for help with a medical concern, the team takes their time to ask questions, get all the information, and come back with recommended next steps. I seriously recommend this team to anyone and everyone.

I had to make the impossible decision to put my beloved, 20 year old cat, Pedro, down, and every single staff member was so compassionate and kind. They made the process as easy as possible and allowed me to spend as much time as I needed with my boy. They went above and beyond in every way possible and I will never forget their kindness towards me, but also the love they showed Pedro before he passed.

The entire team at GAH, doctors, vet techs, receptionists…have been the absolute best to our sweet girl Holly, and to us! They were instrumental in saving her life last year when we discovered an extremely severe case of autoimmune disease! They have been nothing short of compassionate, caring, and understanding towards our pup and continue to look after her ongoing, lifetime, medical care. We are extremely grateful for every single member of the GAH team! Oh, and Holly loves them all too!

We visited Guelph Animal hospital for the first time this week. All the staff were super friendly and Dr. Smolkin was wonderful to work with. She was calm and patient with my dog and allowed him time to be comfortable and get used to her. We specifically came for the integrative medicine approach that Dr. Smolkin offers and will definitely be returning for a follow up. Thank you to the team for all you do for our little fur families!

We have been using the Vet services at Guelph Animal Hospital for over 10 years
and have always been more than pleased with them. My dog Tucker recently has had a very sore tummy and we are confident that the medication will help heal the inflammation. They are very good at follow up after visits. Highly recommend their services whether you have a cat or dog.

We had an urgent matter with our dog and they got us in same day. They're very good and patient with explaining what is wrong. They took the time to listen and educate me. The follow up has been great too. We have had texts checking in and we even got a birthday email for our boy. They're so kind to us humans and our critters. I'm thankful!

We have nothing but praise for this vet clinic. We come from out of town almost 1.5 hrs away and started there approximately 2011 with our 2 Boston Terriers. We were recommended there by another vet clinic closer to us because our one BT had a bad skin condition and we didn’t want her on prescription meds for the rest of her life. We also originally seen Dr. Butler who was an excellent vet and got our girls skin and fur back again, with a change in diet and Chinese herbs. Dr. Butler has since retired and our 2 BTs have passed away. We now have another BT puppy who sees Dr. Fleming. We are pleased with Dr. Fleming and her staff. She takes her time and is in no rush which is great because our BT needs that extra little bit of time and care with his visits. We’re extremely happy with the clinic and staff and will continue as long as we have a pet. I’d give them 10 stars if I could!!

The practice is truly special. I initially saw Dr.Butler (now since retired) who saved Merakai’s life and just saw Dr.Perret for a behaviour plan and looking forward to a follow-up with Dr.Smolkin in the spring.

Each vet that I’ve seen actually listens to you and partners with you! The vet techs also follow the same practice. It’s very reassuring and I will happily drive 6hrs for the care he gets.

The gals at the front are awesome, polite and welcoming… going in you have space as it’s not an enclosed clinic waiting room.

I love that Kai feels comfy enough to lay down in the exam rooms and the vets go to his level.

The wonderful people at Guelph Animal Hospital have always been kind, gentle, and professional when caring for my dear cat. The assistants and vets have always been so good at calming my cat down, which is quite a task because he is frightened when he is away from home.

They rightly diagnosed some ulcers in his mouth and gave him good medication (temporarily), as well as a new type of cat food. He is now ulcer free!

I've had family and friends come here and everybody talks about how fantastic (that is why I'm giving them five stars lol) everybody is here! I've personally not had any experience with them yet, however I do plan on getting my dog neutered (he's 9 months old now) so making an appointment this week. Cherry eye will probably have to be fixed as well. He's such a great dog, he is my love bug, absolutely loves to be loved!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Guelph Animal Hospital! My dog loves going because they treat her so well and are so caring. She recently got sick, and the vet who we took her in to see noticed some very small neurological symptoms, which ended up being a serious condition which would have gotten worse if untreated. The entire staff has been so thorough and patient through the whole process, taking us in emergencies, explaining next steps, calling to check in — and thanks to them, our dog is feeling so much better! I highly recommend Guelph Animal Hospital.

After looking around, they were the most cost effective! Highly rated and reviewed. Recommended by close friends. The staff were amazing to deal with, down to earth good kinda people. We have multiple pets and are glad we picked Guelph Animal Hospital for their medical needs.

This place saved my dog’s life. I was a client of another south end vet in town with good reviews. They had said my dog had pancreatic cancer most likely or possibly pancreatitis . She had lost so much weight, panting and weak and they kept selling me vitamins, enzymes, foods etc. I asked if she possibly had ple based on blood work. They said no. My dog was wasting away
I was almost going to euthanize her. I put her story on Guelph Facebook group when Dr Fleming from Guelph animal hospital reached out. After a bit more testing it was determined my baby had ple. With initial medications and a change in diet my baby has a new lease on life. Gained her weight back and plays and runs etc.
