U-Haul Moving & Storage of West Speedvale

We had a very positive experience thanks to General Manager Brandon Stagg at the U-Haul location at 389 Speedvale Ave W, Guelph, ON.

According to the licence plate, our 10 foot moving van was originally from Alabama USA. The ice and snow was removed by staff, the cab and loading area were clean. The sliding door lowered and locked smoothly.

Check in was painless. Since I was not able to use the U-Haul app on my cell phone, staff recommended that I take photos of the van body for previous damage.

Upon return, a friendly staff person greeted us and completed the check in within minutes. We were able to move our gear for a very reasonable price.

Had a great experience renting a car hauler trailer. Booked it online, was ready to go when we got there. Very helpful lady at the desk set us up and got everything hooked up for us. The trailer was super nice, heavy duty, tons of space and range of width (for different vehicles). 10/10 would use again. Great price too.

There was a bit of a problem with how the pickup centre entered my contract. Two excellent female representatives at this site solved the problem quickly and efficiently. They were not only helpful but pleasant. I think this is one of the larger uhaul centres I’ve been to….looked excellent and I saw other staff helping other customers and everyone seemed helpful and pleasant.

Had a great experience at u-Haul (Speedvale, Guelph). Moving my daughter at Uni was stressful but getting and returning the truck was quick and easy. It was great that this part of the experience was stress free. Also, at a time when everything costs so much, the truck rental for 6 hours was less than $100. Very affordable and we couldn’t have done this move with a decent size truck (20 ft).

U-Haul is a company and service that you can always rely on.

This U-Haul Speedvale location is huge, with lots of options regarding renting services: trucks, machinery, and trailers.

The transaction was fast and smooth.

I was assisted at the moment of renting and also returning the trailer by a wonderful young woman. Unfortunately, I didn't get her name. She was very polite, professional, friendly, and super helpful.

If it helps, she was working on June 29th at 5pm and also on June 30th, 2023, around 3pm.

Kudos to her for her amazing service and showing that she cares about her work and business.

My sister & I own a staging and interior design business so we rent trailers & trucks quite often. We have loved getting to know the staff at the Speedvale location over the last two years. Brandon, Alyssa & Kuldeep are especially wonderful to deal with. When we moved our storage unit out to Elmira we started using a different Uhaul location and had problem after problem, so we now drive into Guelph to rent again as the service is worth it. Would highly recommend.

At first I was not sure where the parking lot was but maybe I didn't see any signage but there was significant snow cover so, I don't know for sure. This location was convenient and the people working there are very professional and amazing. Uhaul meets all my expectations and goes further in their customer service. I rented a van, the only thing that was of note - the rear view camera is inside the rear view mirror, under bright sunshine, it's a bit washed out (dim) to see but this is something I doubt can be adjusted in terms of brightness?

The 2 ladies who helped us at this location were amazing. Knowledgeable, helpful and understanding and very friendly. The equipment was great and the storage is super clean and very well maintained. Will 10/10 recommend to family and friends in the future.

This place was working like a well-oiled machine on a weekend where most university students were moving in or out. Very efficient.

The only issue with my most recent experience (May 2024) was that the vehicle did not start with a full tank. Not fair to the customer to have to guess whether or not the needle is pointing in the "same spot" for return when it's anywhere other than full

State of the art security staff is friendly and fair have climate control units as well as bigger units that are not prices on par with other places

Had issues doing online check-in, the guy helpimg at the counter was super polite and got me into my truck super fast. Very much appreciated!

I have never had a company bend over backwards to help before!!! They have always made rentals soo relaxing and fun!

Great service, friendly staff and easy booking procedures. Pricing is comparable to any other rental company out there. As a busy local courier company sometimes we require a rental fast to get us through a busy period. Brandon and his staff made the experience easy and got us on the road immediately. Excellent staff. The facility is clean and secure. It takes a bit to get used to the hours and how things work but once you understand it’s ver convenient. This is not a 24 hour faculty. Access is turned off from 10pm to 7am. The store is fully stocked with various moving items. A great experience.

We had a great experience with this Uhaul experience. The customer service was helpful and there wasn't a line when we checked in. Checking in process was super easy. The cargo van was clean and had a full tank of gas. Overall great experience. Highly recommend this location.
