Mécanocycle Bike Shop

The bike presented a problem with the gears on Tuesday evening. Called the shop on Wednesday 09:00 am with an urgent repair that was needed asap in view of trainings and competitions. Steve despite his heavy work load...understood and appreciated my stressful situation....and said.... No problem bring it in now. The bike was ready Thursday morning. Steve did the repair and made some modifications that really took the bike to the next level. The price I was charged was more than fair. Steve is a great technician but most importantly a really good person. Thank you Steve. You are the best.

I walked into this place yesterday simply to ask for directions to another place in the building. The guy was there alone clearly busy and still took the time to walk me through the directions, explained where to go and was courteous and helpful. I didn't even have a bike. I can only imagine how well he must treat his customers! Thanks again. :)

Great service and trustworthy place with fair prices. They know what they're doing and I'm sad I live far away now, but really reccomend for anyone with regular bikes, high end bikes. They also reccomend nice pieces that fit with the esthetic of the bike so I appreciate it. Good stuff

I've bought many bikes, new and used, from big stores and small stores. And getting service that is this high quality is very rare and difficult.

The quality, price, installation and general advice was remarkable.

Steve installed an anti-theft mechanism for the tires and gave me some great general knowledge about bikes.)

Steve is the man. Honest, fair, and extremely passionate about his craft. He has a dream of a fixed gear cycle, and that's exactly what I want to see as a fellow fixed gear rider: the owner of the shop is also a customer. Speedy service since I caught him as most of Montreal embarked on vacation, but he didn't choose to slack off, instead returned my fully tuned up cycle with a new chain within 48 hrs. He even called me AS he was working on my cycle to let me know about an aesthetic defect that would not affect the function but he could take care of if I wanted, then he listed the pricing. I felt so taken care of. Some of the best service I've received from any shop of any kind.

By far the friendliest, most personal bike repair experience I've had in Montreal.
The owner was courteous, friendly, and competent. I was impressed that even though they had a 20 day wait on complete tuneups he offered to do some immediate repairs while I waited in the store (replaced worn chain, rear tube, small cleanup) so that I could still use my bike. Happy customer.

Amazing service! I broke my derailleur going up Robert Bourassa towards Rene Levesque and had to get it replaced. Folks at Mécanocycle were super helpful, friendly, and fast. Will definitely be my go-to place and would recommend to any bikers in the area.

Super friendly and fast service! I went there’s for a snapped shifter cable and it was repaired quickly.

This shop is not the closest to my house, but I always end up bringing my bike here. They are always able to help me with simple things and make me an appointment for more complex issues.

The Owner/Mechanic is honest and doesn't try to force the most expensive solution.

The area often has a lot of construction lately, I hope this doesn't impact their business too negatively, it's a great shop!

Steve is great and will take his time with you. He isn't pushy and won't pressure you to buy parts you don't need. I passed by for the first time because I was in the area but I will be coming here for my bike needs even though the shop is about 12km from where I live.

Very friendly guy. He knows how to fix carbon frame bikes. I had a couple problems I knew about my bike. During the first inspection, he was able to spot all the problems I knew about and a couple more. I went to get it back two days later and it feels better than when it was new. I always had trouble with my derailleur. He adjusted it to the perfection. Very honest service, very honest guy. Would give 6 stars if I could.

I found this bike shop after having a couple of problems with other shops in Montreal. Steve is a really down to earth honest guy, he'll give you multiple solutions to your problem and won't try to lose you in the details. Great prices and extremely quick service. His expertise really shows and he'll often try to teach you something if you stick around during quick repairs! I highly suggest Mécanocycle!.

It's fast and easy to get a repair , I alwyse rely on Steven and his crew to repair my flat tire and brakes.

They know their stuff here. I've only so far had the pleasure of working with Steve, but he really helped me with my bike. I had constant shifting problems that other shops struggled to rectify and within a day he fixed it and it was running better than new. It's a bit out of my way for day to day issues like a flat, but I would definitely recommend coming here for any niggling issue that you can't solve.
