Émile et Mathew whom I dealt with are awesome bike guys in this city! Émile’s service to the cyclists of this city is as good as it gets. He was able to give me a lot of room to think off first what I really want and reciprocate his ideas while giving me the last draw as the customer. I ordered a pair of tires and got it installed for a fair price and had my derailleurs tuned. My test ride up and down Mont Royal shortly after was very nice and smooth on the gravel trail. I did not have to go back to his shop to get any tweaks and that really impressed me with their mechanical skills. That in itself is hard to come by in bike shops. Short to say these guys are real cyclists first before sales if you catch the drift. Merci beaucoup Émile et Mathew! You guys rule.

I have taken all of my bikes to Émile since he first opened his shop a few years ago, and I wish that it were possible to give a rating of more than five stars.

Émile has seriously raised the bar for bike shops in terms of attention to detail and quality of service. His mechanical expertise and skills remain surpassed only by his polite, calm, and generous character, as well as the time and care he has invested in myself and many others as loyal customers. A few highlights of my experiences with Émile include when he offered numerous consultations to my partner during her search for a new bike, even though she did not get her bike through him, or when he was kind enough to even supply a couple components for my new bike for free after my previous bike was stolen.

To make another quick comparison, I imagine that Émile would treat a $150 bike and a $5000 bike with exactly the same respect. The same thing absolutely cannot be said of most other shops, based on my experiences. On top of this, all of the work Émile has done maintaining or improving my bikes has been perfect the first time. Seeing the passion that he applies to both his work and teaching others, I have no doubt that Émile will one day be widely respected and recognized as a grandmaster bike mechanic. Thank you Émile!!

Great service, very quick to reply to my inquiry via email and great support with my bike in the shop. They have an easy to use website that lists all their services, hours of operation, contact info, and pricing for everything online. Honest team, will give you good recommendations for upgrading/replacing parts for your bike if you need service or with accessories like safety products. Friendly, honest, fair priced - would absolutely go back and recommend. There isn't much room in the shop so best to make an appt for onsite servicing via email or phone.

love this place. I was looking for a refurbished bike with new parts and Émile kindly put together a very light touring bike from the 80s with a combo of new and used parts. my bike rides super smooth, I can throw it over my shoulder to get up the stairs of my apartment and Émile is really generous with checking in on the bike, giving tune ups and offering affordable solutions to my biking needs.

I highly recommend this place for bike maintenance or if you want to get a new / old bike.

I brought my bike for a tune up and I am extremely satisfied with the service. At the beginning I was not sure which service to take, however, Emile is very transparent when it comes to suggesting services. He will call you and let you know what your bike needs and why. He is very knowledgeable about bikes and he takes the time to explain why of the diagnosis of ur bike. He is really conscious of your budget too, so he will adjust to what you can afford. That to me shows how much he cares about his clients. I will definitely bring my bike back and would definitely recommend to any of my bikers friends.

Saw a bike I wanted to try out on the website. Émile and his team were kind enough to set the bike up for me for a test drive the very same day. They sell high-quality products and are very knowledgable.

Emile is an excellent bike mechanic. Always does a fantastic job, never cuts corners, and has fair prices. He also provides excellent service and is flexible to fit your schedule. What the shop lacks in stocked inventory due to its small physical size is made up for by a large catalog of parts and accessories that can be ordered in a matter of days. Excellent shop.

Hands down the best bike shop in Montreal, as not only is the quality of the services they provide top quality but also the guys who work there are just genuinely great guys willing to talk through issues you have. I had my bike tuned here, and also had a lesson on how to maintain my bike, and since setting off on a must-day tour I have had pretty much no issue.

Such a great service! Honest work! More than fair price. I even saw him telling someone to pay 30$ instead of 50$ as stated before because he didn't need to do such a big work. Emile always want to make sure everything is alright with your bike. Would refer him to anyone who owns a bike!

Many thanks to the Émile Bicyclettes team! Matthew was the one to help me with a flat rear tire today. He even went over basic bicycle tire care/maintenance, taught me what to watch out for /recommend tire pressure and explained the type of puncture the tire had and how to avoid it.

Émile was great to work with. I needed to send my daughter's bike from the US to Canada. He received the bike, reassembled it, and fixed a few issues (a couple that I knew about already). He was helpful, responsive, a pleasure to work with, and very fairly priced. I would recommend this shop to anyone. I've spent a fair amount of time in many bike shops, and a good shop always has someone like this at the helm. Thanks again, Émile, for all of your help.

Absolutely the best bike shop I've been in Montreal.
Because of my problematic bike (purchased second hand, discontinued automatic gear changing bike), I had to get it repaired multiple times. Problem would happen anywhere, so I have visited more than 5 repair shop in Montreal. From all the bike shops I have been, Émile's shop was the best. He is super kind, down to earth, honest, responsive, and price is also very reasonable (quote provided by another shop for the same job Emile did for my bike was 500 bucks more than what Emile has asked). I highly highly recommend this bike shop.
