Beautiful place to hike. Quiet, peaceful, deep forest. Also great trails for mountain biking. Close to Port Moody. Great recreational area for the whole family. There is a good area dedicated to dog walking as well.

Great park with tons of little trails. Also great for biking and walking dogs. Used to be some huge trees, the remaining stumps are massive!! We walk with our kids here regularly.

2022:
FINALLY! got to walk here! lots of things you can do here. dog park, mountain bike, and quick and long trailing.

keep in mind that if you are doing trailing NOTE if the trail is a mountain bike trail. read the signs. you also need to give space and room for the mountain bikers to do their thing. sometimes they can't see and they are fast bec it's their trail you are on. it's good if you have a bell or music.

for bikers it's nice to also be a bit loud to make sure any hikers can get out of your way. make sure you say whether you are passing by their left or right side "on your left/right" so they will know where to position themselves without having to look back and decide. lots of terrain here (see pics) and raps that you can literally fly on. don't slide tho cz it makes the trail mushy.

i have seen lots of big dogs get their exercise here but there are also small dogs with their owners too. some of them are off-leash and some are leashed BUT RULES STATE TO LEASH YOUR DOGS. also make sure that your dog does not run up to another dog without the owner's consent. this goes for people wanting to pet other people's dogs too, they just go forward towards the dog. some dogs seem friendly when no one is around their space but are reactive whenever their space is invaded. better to always let the dog to towards you if they want pets or attention from you. i have seen lots of people's hands and dogs almost bitten because they were always thinking every dog is a good dog to everyone.

so far i have not seen a washroom anywhere. just dog poop dedicated garbage cans and water streams for your dogs to get wet on.

watch out also for ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes, since this trail has loads of trees and some trails are tight. trees and bushes can brush up against you. so far i have not brought any animal/insect back with me.

We cycled here from Burnaby, it was awesome uphills! I'm new at cycling and it's no easy way to cycle up here. We wanted to see their 1way cycling routes BUT it was getting dark so there was mosquitoes coming out. We will coming back for sure!!!!!!

There's several loop trails through the woods. The path is broad enough for people to follow and pass each other with room to spare. Popular with hikers & mountain bikers of all ages. There's an official off-leash section but you'll see well behaved dogs off leash throughout the park. It is not fenced in and there are wildlife in the area (bears, bobcats, cougars & coyotes) so your dog should have good recall to stay safe. Roadside parking facing south (downhill) along Heritage Mtn Rd offers easy access to the off-leash trail head.

Nature trails for hiking, running, or biking at different levels. Lovely place with 100+ year-old cedar tree stumps and hand-painted stones placed here and there by "Friends of the Forest"

Beautiful park and little adventure in Port Moody for running, cycling, relaxing and a great place for your pups. The pathway one_way has been made due to Covid-19. It takes about 45 minutes for a round trip.

Easy access to the trails, dog friendly with an off leash section! The bike trails and walking trails cross paths, you can walk the bike trails as long as you are mindful and yield to bikes. Good for novice hikers or anyone wanting a relaxing morning walk!

Beautiful park with tall trees and well marked and maintained trails. We parked on the side of the road near the roundabout and there wasn't a lot of parking there so I suspect that on nice days and weekends parking in that area might be problematic.

Great network of MTB Trails, perfect place for learning if new to the sport.
Lots of fun features to ride and only mild grade of climbing. Great place to sharpen the bike skills if your an experienced rider

This is one of my favourite places to walk my dog. The people and other dogs here are almost always friendly and there's enough tree cover that the sun isn't unpleasant even in the middle of the day.

There are some mud puddles off the trail, so if you're inclined to let your mud-loving dog off leash (which isn't allowed but people often do), you might want to bring a towel.
