Beautiful family run restaurant. Quality food with speedy service an amazing atmosphere. You felt like you were part of the family when eaten here. We totally recommend this place to anybody in the area or visiting.

Heard about this restaurant, decided to try it. Glad I did. Food and service were great. Prices are much lower than I expected. Great to see a small family owned business able to keep affordability and quality both above par. They also have an ice cream window with lots of options. If you're in the area I'd suggest stopping by and checking them out!

New owners have done a wonderful job. The food is great. Best burgers around in this area of the Valley. Good fish and chips. Nice outdoor Patio. Leave with your dessert . Grab an ice cream outside on the way home. 😋

I went to Big Scoop for the first time. Just got ice cream. 4 small cones. Which were huge 2 scoops each and you can choose 2 different flavors. The biggest shocker of all. They were only $15 for all 4!
We were so impressed. We'll definitely be back and can't wait to try the food.

Was never a big scoop patron. Did not care for the food there before the new owner took over. New menu has lots of choices, variety. Lots of daily specials, deserts, etc. I don't mind waiting a few extra minutes if my food is going to be worth it. New owner and his team work hard. That place is always booming with cars, ATVs etc. I will promote this business every time that I can! Never disappointed with quality of food or service!

The ice cream and flavors are amazing. Honestly impressed with the portions. $5 gets you a massive ice cream cone and you can have multiple flavors. Our family go to spot!

Restaurant has gotten a big boost from the new owner. Wasn't a frequenter of the big scoop before but I definitely will be now. Everything has been absolutely delicious, fresh, and the staff there are wonderful.
Has been a bit of a wait but that's to be expected with how busy they are. Glad to see all the business!

Just had a lovely lunch with my mom here and everything was amazing! The customer service was top notch and the food was excellent! My mom had the fish and chips and it came out piping hot crispy batter not soggy at all, her fries were done well done crispy as she requested. I had the Gam Gam burger and let me tell you it did not disappoint! The burger Patties (yes there were 2) were cooked perfect, juicy on the inside with beautiful caramelization on the outside, and seasoned just right! The cheese was melty and bacon was crispy as were the onion rings that topped it off! The barbecue sauce was sweet and Smokey in all the right ways. 10/5 stars for this wonderful local restaurant ❤

Came here on a recommendation to try, but it was mainly because we were in the area and I happened to see the smash burger on the menu which immediately made me come out to try. This is coming from a foodie, amateur chef, and burger enthusiast.

I'd like to commend them on the burger - putting in the sauteed onions and keeping it fairly plain...so good! I'd love for this burger to also have lettuce and tomatoes though - I'll just ask for it next time though. The burger was near perfect, well seasoned, but not bland, and definitely not salty. The bun, excellent for this particular execution - though if I had to make it a smidge better, butter it and crisp it on the griddle. The additional richness and crisp texture developed will take it to another level. Because of the moisture of this burger, the sauteed onions, this comes out piping hot. I love that! Though my wife might've burnt her mouth a little... The burger patties were a fair size, though if I were doing these myself, I'd make 'em just slightly smaller, crank up the heat up just a little, smash 'em just a bit thinner and get a better crust on them, and cook it to a more medium to medium well doneness to maintain a similar moisture level. I felt it was just a bit more cooked than I wanted - good in the center moisture wise, and the texture better/more caramelized on the edges. I think this is where a slightly smaller patty seared and squished more thinly would produce a result I'd argue would have 'em selling even more. =) I'm definitely coming back for this burger though!

The poutine was ok, fairly priced, but I'd rather have a bit more generous portion of fries. The gravy was good, though I'd want a different cheese curd - though melted, they lacked the chew and squishiness of a "better" quality one. However, for this price, it's awesome as some other places try to rip you off by charging way too much. This one strikes a good balance because the portion size also doesn't give you so much you feel like you're just wasting it, and shared between two people it's just enough without feeling too heavy. If you're super hungry, you could probably polish off the poutine and a burger.

The surprise though was the Jersey cut fries. These are fantastic! Why are they not sold everywhere? I love a good, home cut fry, especially if they use Yukon Golds. I also had the regular fries, and though good, maybe if they fried it in a different oil (like how Five Guys does theirs in a peanut oil) then they'd stand out. They're fine, and a good vehicle for the poutine, but alone, the Jersey cut fries were so much better. Those were an interesting mix of your typical potato wedge, seasoned, the starchiness of a larger cut fry (which they are), and as a result you get both a crispy outside and the fluffy potato inside. These were a really pleasant surprise - fantastic fry!

Awesome experience! Both the haddock dinner and the clam dinner was devine! Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. Really appreciated the smaller plate options!

We took our sxs exploring. We found this absolute Jem of a restaurant!!! The food was delicious and staff are so awesome. Happy to have found this place off the trail.

I had such a great experience at Big Scoop that I came back the next day. Food was delicious - their Hot Turkey Sandwich was amazing! Haddock tasted fresh and great, too! Service was fast; staff was friendly; serving was generous; the vibe was very down-to-earth. To cap it all off, very reasonably priced. Will come back at another time!
