Deb's Hidden Cafe

So many things to look at. Ramp to get in and small patio as well. Deb is lovely. Fish is the best in the Pictou county. Worth a visit for sure!

We're visiting from PEI and I'd come back for another breakfast sandwich. I'm still eating it as I write this post and damn it's good. Also, Deb was quite lovely and we appreciated the queer friendly trinkets! It doesn't take much for inclusion.

I am a customer for life .
Deb is a very likable woman who is multi talented ...she makes an amazing variety of jams ,jellies, preserves , and baked goods.
She also has a creative flair that left me in awe..Knitted hats , scarves ,slippers .
She makes handcrafted signs and an array of beautiful peices ..
The fish and chips that she makes is by far and above any I've tried .
A special ingredient in the batter is her key to the recipie.
Perfection ....no other word for it...
If I could add more starts to the 5 ...I would...

Feels like home away from home! The owners are super friendly and cute! Quick service! Good variety quality food.

Deb is a kind soul. She operates the cafe, usually on her own. Today, we (my 2 kids) and I dropped in as she was closing. Deb "well, we close at 6 (it was 6:18 pm), but what would you like. Dinner was served with a smile and some friendly banter. The food is good, and Deb is friendly character. We always enjoy our visit. Thanks Deb!

I can't even describe how impressed I am with this cute little hidden restaurant. She was working solo and served the 4 of us very quickly and with accuracy. The food was amazing! Fish and chips were delicious! Overall great experience!

Probably the best fish and chips in the province. Large white flakes, never over cooked and REAL fries. Even the slaw and tarter is made here.

I stopped in and Deb and Al were so friendly to chat with! Delicious ice cream and incredible pickled goods! Stop in here if you want to find a little slice of welcoming home and delicious treats!

Amazing experience at Deb’s! Amazing food, great people! I had a vehicle problem while I was there and they had a mechanic friend come down and look after me. Amazing small town people. It’s hard to find that nowadays.

Deb is friendly and very creative. Lots of hidden gems inside this store and the food oh my home cooked and one of the best meals ive had since covid has started. Everything is homemade; bread,fries, hamburger, the jams and baked goods too. I will be back for sure!

Seriously the BEST fish and chips I have had in a very very long time. Food was amazing . She has so many preserves of so many different kinds in her cafe . This place is a hidden gem that you NEED to eat at because its freaking amazing !

Excellent cafe with a large menu. Homemade jams and jellies, ice cream and beer. Great hidden gem, glad we stopped by! Two piece fish and chip was great at a very reasonable price. I recommend stopping by for lunch.

Fish and chips we got the 8 piece she said they were going to be small pieces and I found we got bigger then usual batter is sweet and fish was very good ;) home cut fries the best ;)

Great little place that is worth finding, the day I was there the owner was on her way out but made sure to speak and catch up with some regulars and made me feel welcome before she left. The special that day was a "donair on a bun" with soup of the day, beverage and dessert for $10.95. Fantastic value as everything was tasty and fresh, a place I will certainly visit again.

Turkey dinner: dang girl, I've been cooking for decades, and I wouldn't try competing with that meal. Anyone who chose to go elsewhere for their Turkey dinner will be missing a bona-fida delicious feast. Thanks Deb. Well done.
