Harbour Light Campground

A lovely spot to camp, nice easy trail to the beach. Basic toilets, sinks, showers and good hot water. We used the onsite laundry room, very satisfied.
Owner is a delightful gentleman. We felt like we were in a safe, home-like campground. Would definitely return!

We were here for three nights over Labor Day weekend. The owner and his family are the nicest folks, and the campground is well maintained and the wifi was great. They have a lot of activities and a lot of people participate. As we have found throughout the Maritimes, everyone here was so friendly to us and helped us take in some of the local flavor of the community. We chose Harbour Light because of its closeness to the PEI ferry, but we'll go back because we had such a fantastic stay.

Great campsite, ideally located if you want to take the PEI ferry. Only a short distance to Pictou and beautifully situated on the beach. Very friendly owners. Clean washrooms. I had a site right on the beach and had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended!

Loved our time at Harbour Light Campground! Very friendly place! Staff are wonderful from the ice cream when you arrive, to the firewood and basket of blueberries the owner gave me while walking my dog. Will be back for the long weekend in September!

Great campground. Perfect for a few days of glamping. WiFi was great so the kids could watch Netflix at night. Located right near the beach (short walk through the park). Geared towards seasonal campers but still have sites available for weekenders.

Super friendly owner who was great to deal with. Family owned and operated so you just need to deal with taking your time booking as someone isn't always in the office. Mainly because the staff are taking you directly to your site which is a fantastic service it really helps you figure out the layout of the campground.

Loved our time here and will have to come back!

Keep in mind some sites are small but have full amenities.

Cameron the owner was so nice and welcoming, since it was the beginning of the season he even offered us the night for free! Electricity water and washroom services were excellent, great views as well. Would come back!

Love this place , the owner , Cameron is amazing and a all round good guy, The campground itself is beautiful. Everyone is super friendly. I can’t say enough good things about this place.

I was greeted with a pint of fresh blueberries parentheses in season parentheses. the facility is right on the water and there is access to an incredibly long in Sandy Beach

So all the reviews that rave positively about the owner/staff are so correct. Have never encountered such personable and helpful hosts in an RV park before. We stayed our two nights at a great oceanside site. When we decided to stay a third night unexpectedly, we found out that our site was previously booked for that night. The owner went out of his way to work something out but (maybe to keep us at that site?), but with no success, but did “give” us a full service site elsewhere. We were so appreciative as the alternative was leaving the area without seeing our granddaughter finish her ball tournament (delayed because of weather). Will definitely visit this campground again…great to know owner/staff are “there-for-you” when needed.

Cameron the manager was the best host you could ask for. The staff were super friendly and we felt like family from the minute we arrived. We were rewarded with a few unexpected perks at this RV park that is also very close and only minutes to the free ferry to PEI. We highly recommend and they are Passport America also during the shoulder season.

Started out tent camping here a few years ago, loved it so much we bought a fifth wheel two years ago and have been seasonal here since. Can’t imagine ever leaving. It’s family owned/run, and Cameron and his daughter and son are always around at all times if you ever need anything. They are the friendliest people you’d ever meet <3

Such an awesome campground! The owner makes you feel at home as soon as you enter the campground and is always around if you have any questions or need assistance. We loved collecting shells on their beach and even got to see a jellyfish! Highly recommend this place!! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Harbour Light campground was beautiful. We stayed right on the water in a tent. The campground was very conveniently located to town for easy accesses to restaurants, grocery store and ferry to PEI and Newfoundland.

Cameron and his daughter Emily the owner were exceedingly knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.

Amazing and beautiful. Cameron greeted us with a friendly smile and ice cream sandwiches. Peaceful, dog-friendly, wonderful service, beautiful beach, family-friendly, and great views of the harbor. Family-owned providing service above and beyond, like filling your propane tank and delivering directly to your camp site. Liked our first week-long stay so much that we returned for two more weeks. Great place for kids and adults alike. Looking forward to our next visit.

Great campground . A lot of different type sites , back-in , drive-through clean and level .All sites with sun and shade . Nightly ,weekly or seasonal . Good access to nice clean sandy beach . 50 Amp power with adapters offered if you don't have one . Propane for bottles or motorhomes . You will love it here ! If not something wrong .

Absolutely wonderful. We arrived without a reservation on a long weekend and the owner greeted us immediately in a very friendly manner.They were fully booked but after finding out we were self contained and would be fine without any services he told me to have a seat. He came back with two icecream sandwiches which he handed to me and asked if we could use 15 amps electricity and to follow him. When we were at our “site” and asked how much we owe him, his reply was nothing.
This is definitely the best Nova Scotia hospitality and we can’t be thankful enough.

Best Campground In Pictou! Amazing People. Beautiful Location...

We first arrived at Harbour Lights Campground in late June of 2022, having just traveled from BC. We had experienced nothing but flat tires, overloaded trailer issues inour 32 ft Sunset Trail and exhorbitant diesel prices in our 3500 Dodge Longhorn. The day we were to arrive a pole jumped in the middle of the road and caved in the awning/outside kitchen side of our Fifth Wheel. After calling Cameron at Harbour Lights to see if he could give us a spot he assured us he would find something.
To make a long story short he not only found us a spot by the pool for three months but bought us the best pizza I have ever eaten when we arrived.
Cameron further helped us out by storing our trailer until May 2023, on his own property at no charge. This man embodies the Maritime Helpfulness and Friendliness that you almost never really believe is real. We will forever be in his debt and will be recommending Harbour Lights Campground into the next life. Oh DID I MENTION THE

2 motorhomes camped here for 5 nights and it was our favorite rv park we ever stayed at in 9 years of rving! That was in 2002! When we first arrived the owner greeted the 4 of us with free ice cream bars and told us to go pick out 2 sites and since it was about lunch time he said to get hooked up and have lunch! We got settled and went to the office to pay for our sites and the owner asked how long we’d be staying and we said we weren't sure 4 or 5 nights! He floored us by saying well no use paying twice just pay when you leave!!! That has never happen in my 78 years of traveling! This park has tons of activities but we spent most of our time site seeing so when we went to pay during the late afternoon on our fifth day we were floored again when he said we missed all the activities so he was only going to charge us for 4 nights! Can you believe this great guy! We live in Long Beach, CA and unfortunately we haven't been back! Another great thing about this about this park were 3 other components! There were a lot of kids around but from inside our rv we could never hear them and they never set foot on our site! One night we were talking to our neighbors in the site behind us and asked where they were from and how long they planned to stay? Turns out they both lived in Pictou (about 9 blocks away) and she owned a beauty shop in town and he worked on the ferry to Prince Edward Island! They spent the whole Summer there because it was a great place for there 2 kids with all the activities for the children! And finally (sorry this was so long but every word is true) the first site on the at the entrance is a Memorial to one their regular kids that passed away at the families home! Who does that kind of thing? They do!!! If you are traveling to Nova Scotia do yourself a favor and don't miss this place! I have 3 places in the world that if I sell everything and move to they would be Ireland, New Zealand and Nova Scotia! Why? The people in these 3 places go out of their way to make you feel welcome!!

I stayed here for one night at the very end of the season on my way back from Cape Breton. The campground staff were more than accommodating and helpful, and we stayed at a beautiful waterfront, full-service site. The waterfront views, evening sunset, morning sunrise from the beach were absolutely stunning, worth the trip alone! No reservations recommending the campground whether you're passing through or staying for a while.
