Great thrift store/friperie! This place has two floors of clothing, hygiene products, knicknacks, furnitures, glasswares, used books, and other stuff. The men’s clothing section had great variety of selections including tshirts, shirts, and jackets. The books also had both English and French items. Decent prices too! Highly recommended to check out

I go here often for vintage/thrifted items at an affordable price. I hate buying second hand at new trendy spots when the markup on a used t-shirt is insane. The quality and cleanliness of the clothes is great here. They have recently moved locations, which is much more spacious, organized and easy to navigate the store.

This vintage store has a lot of unique clothing items and an assortment of other items to choose from. I liked that their prices were very reasonable. We will definitely visit again.

Very good local thrift store. Mostly clothing, but also pretty good for books and housewares. Fairly large selection of media, but not many electronics. They also have a selection of liquidated cosmetic and health products. Friendly staff.

There are also new clothes from famous brands (sometimes with unbeatable low price) and even personal care stuff like hair dyes, shampoo, cosmetics. They have some of the loveliest jewelries and this store has the most beautiful clothing selection for a second hand store

I've been shopping there for ages. Great prices for great value (Monday 1$ books, cheaper women menstrual products, unbeatable makeup prices, inexpensive makeup bags, the 2$ clothing bin and much more). However, due to covid you do have to wait a bit outside but waiting is fine. They have friendly staff that you can engage a conversation with them. And also, good finds! I do highly recommend to check it out if you're in the area! :)

Incredible selection of donated and used goods, always able to find something especially for kitchenware. New arrivals come often. Great deals on pharmacy goods and furniture. Men’s clothing section is not the best but it does the job

This thrift store is absolutely SUPERB!!! You can find amazing prices, a large selection (from clothes, to books, to household, to electronics, and even extras like sunscreen, beauty, hair dye and food!). In addition, this is the cleanest thrift store I’ve ever been in. It actually smells good. If I could rate this higher than 5 stars, I would in an instant. It’s a PERFECT thrift store!

To me it is the best friperie in Montréal. It has all we need in one place at the best price. Very organized. It has humanitarian cause and profits go to women in need. Go Chaînon Go❤❤❤🌹🌹🌹

I honestly cannot stop shopping at this place. If you're a person who is on a strict budget, this place can be a definite life-saver.

THe prices you see on the tags, is the price you pay. You can find many amazing items here, from great clothing items, to ice-skates, kitchen wares, to even furniture for really really good prices.

If you're a student and need to really conserve your cash and need clothing----definitely come check this spot out. You won't regret it.

This is my absolute favorite thrift store in town! Pretty wide selection of clothes to personal healthcare products. All those incomes will be donated to charity to help and accommodate women in difficult situations.

They carry liquidated toiletry brands OGX, Nyx, Dove, St. Yves, most pharmacy cosmetics and more for at least half the price. They have a large variety of clothes, many choices that are unworn with tags still on. I've also purchased brand new school and art supplies, cutlery and kitchen tools, and essential oils for less than a dollar.

Le Chaînon is a really nice place to find loads of different type of clothes. The clothes are clean, cheap and sometime it’s even brand new! You can find the following brands as well: Guess, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors... Definitely worth a visit!

so blessed to have le chainon as my neighborhood thrift shop. my favorite sections are the books ($1 on mondays!) and cosmetics (i think jean coutu donates a lot of new stuff here... i found organic maxi pads & natural laundry detergent for $2 last time). i've also found some vintage houseware & clothing gems. and your donations & purchases support a longstanding, well respected organization helping women in difficult situations. win win!

Chainon is my favorite-ist thrift store in Montreal, probably the best in my opinion. Everything from clothes, surplus, laundry detergent, perfume, even chocolate!!!! I suppose the location is conductive to creating this "crucible of community goods bank". Commodities are priced so well you'd be hard pressed not to walk out with a few bargains.
