I have been dealing with Black Bear Auto for the last 4 plus month’s building my over lander working with Chris and Duane has been a very positive experience, their advice and knowledge and recommendations have been wonderful! Took my truck to Black Bear with a coolant leak. The guys got it in right away a diagnosed the problem (problems) quickly and provided very detailed estimates with labour and parts breakdown. I had to wait until the next day due to the parts arriving late, no fault of theirs, but they had it fixed and back to me early the next day. Very thorough and transparent invoicing as well. Will definitely be going back to them and would recommend them to anyone in need of repairs!

This place is amazing! They took me in last-minute and helped me with a repair no one wanted to take on. Their transparency and explanations of how things work were beyond appreciated. Many shops will up-play things to make more money but they helped me make logical decisions on what's best to do and how. All workers were super nice and enjoyable to talk to. There is nothing more lame than a rude, over bearing mechanic after an emergency. I will always be returning here now and really encourage you to come here also! This positive experience is hard to find at shops!

Came back here to get some suspension work done, Black Bear continues to provide honest and reliable service. Do not hesitate to do business as they run their business honestly and extremely well.

So glad I found this place. Took me in last minute. Duane was amazing to deal with. Very transparent and honest. Finished the work sooner then promised and went above and beyond . Whole staff was very professional. Will definitely recommend to all family and friends.

Honesty and integrity pretty much sums Duane and Black Bear up. Duane has never steered me wrong, nor anyone I have sent to him. He recently completed a lift for my Tacoma. The product he chose for me is amazing, and the truck rides much better than I expected, and way better than stock. Any issues are dealt with quickly, without hesitation. Just bring your vehicle here for any auto repairs or upgrades.

I took a vehicle here to have an inspection done before purchasing and these guys were awesome. They accommodated my time line and were straight forward about the vehicle as well as offering me options to move forward.

They are super openness and honesty. They explain vehicle issues clearly and provide detailed cost estimates upfront. Their rates are super reasonable. I brought my car to Dwayne at his previous shop and will continue to do so!

Duane has looked after my vehicle(s) for over 10 years now. He worked at another shop before he had his own, but I keep going back to him because he's always taken care of my vehicles, treated me right, and treated with me with honesty and integrity. Definitely recommend. Great people with great knowledge.

I cannot recommend this auto shop enough! I've had many vehicles over there years and been to dozens of auto shops, but the service I received from Duane has been memorable to say the least. I have a Mercedes GLK250 - they serviced the vehicle, did the brakes and installed a block heater. I moved to a very cold climate (first time being somewhere that drops below -10) 5 hours away and Duane took the time to assist me in insuring my vehicle was properly winterized. Despite me being far away, we spoke on the phone, sent videos and discussed a plan to be sure I had no issues in -27 weather. His suggestions were perfect. I will happily make the trip back to the lower mainland to have my vehicle serviced by someone so kind, honest and trustworthy. Thank you so much for your expertise! You are truly appreciated.

I've been taking all my Mustangs I ever owed to my mechanic in Port Moody for years. He recently retired and closed his doors. Needed to find another good mechanic close to home I could trust with my 2014 Mustang. Safe to say I found Duane and Black Bear Auto Repair that I trust to work on my car. Great service and a great guy.

Duane and Black Bear Auto Service are the best in the business and I can't recommend them highly enough. We have had fantastic experiences servicing our vehicles with Duane over the years and always know we are getting the best advice and expertise around. Duane is one of the few mechanics left in this world you can trust. He truly cares about his customers, making sure they can get safely back on the road as quickly as possible.

We started taking our work trucks to Black Bear Auto and they have always been honest and efficient. We have a family member with an 18 year old vehicle that needed new fuel lines. She was told by a different mechanic that the job could not be done. We took the vehicle to Duane and he got the job done ahead of schedule. He is honest, efficient and and trustworthy. We had him fix some other stuff on the vehicle and it will be running for a long time, thanks to Duane and his staff!

Have brought my truck in to black bear auto for mulitple critical repairs and upgrades over the last year. They have always been upfront straightforward and very fair with the shop hours they have charged me. In addition they've been able to accommodate getting work done fast and getting me back on the road. Would highly recommend!

Awesome service, every place I called had no space to get me in for a month or more, called Black Bear Auto Services, talked with Duane and got to bring my car in that day, dropped it off just before he closed. He called me the next morning with my quote and he told me, he'd order the parts..struts, sway bar and transmission for my wipers and depending on how long it took my car would be ready the next day at the latest, next thing I know it's 3:30 in the afternoon and my car was fixed and ready to be picked up!!!! Fastest service ever, total price for the job was awesome especially since he had my car done in less than 24hrs, fantastic service, couldn't be happier. He also let me know what was wearing down and would need replacement and roughly how long until I would need to fix it and my car will be going back to him for the job, actually for whatever needs to be done in the future his shop is where it'll be going as I trust him completely. He's honest, fast, keeps you informed, polite and knows what he's doing, if I could give more than 5 stars I would...this customer was and is 100% satisfied!!!!

Duane, Chris, and their crew did a fantastic job diagnosing my issues and informing me of all the available
options. They ended up replacing my starter, battery, and re-wiring my audio system. All of which was completed in a timely manner and at a fair price. On top of that, they were extremely accommodating by working around my scheduel for drop off and pick up times. 100% would recommend their shop to anyone needing auto services.

Duane has been servicing and repairing my vehicles for over a decade. When I heard he started his own shop, I followed him here to Black Bear. Though it's geographically a little harder for me to get to now than Vancouver, I still make the trip. The quality and honesty I get, the work they do for me is invaluable.
I just have an Odyssey, but I know they work on anything with an engine; always a fun stop on the tour for my son to see all the cool things these guys are working on.
I never feel out of place there in my family wagon - which doubles and my work vehicle, so scheduling can sometimes be tricky for me too. Duane and Chris are always there with a smile, and make time to help get me get in and back out to work on time.
Great people, great shop. Can't say enough good things.

Sent in my car to get a new clutch installed. Chris managed to fit me in their schedule, and when I picked up the car, Duane informed me that the brakes were due for a change soon. Very professional, would 100% recommend Black Bear to everyone.
