Absolutely stellar service at Urban AC Autoworks. I dropped off my 30-year old pickup truck with no service history and no diagnostic information other than the AC has been nonfunctional since I’ve owned it (~1 yr). These gentlemen were able to get a full diagnosis and quote within a few hours, then were able to complete the repairs, a fairly significant amount of work, by early afternoon the next day (~26 hours from drop off). The quote given prior to starting the repair was exactly what I paid when I picked it up as well - tax included.

Found them on Google maps and booked the appointment for diagnose and repair.

The A/C in my 94 RX-7 hasn't blown cold in years. I had basically given up on it ever working. Was I ever happy to have found Francis and Urban AC Autoworks.
It was summer and they were booked up for weeks so they asked if I was willing to leave my car with them and they would work on it as time permitted. My car was with them for a very short time and they methodically tested and assessed the system. Their thoroughness and professionalism are second to none. They took the time to understand the unique qualities (quirks) of my car and they devised a sensible plan to get the AC working again.
The work definitely wasn't 'cookie cutter' and I would state that a majority of shops that don't have the specific skill set and knowledge to deal with AC systems would have failed. The price that I was charged was fair and Francis kept me informed every step of the way. Everything about my interaction with Urban AC Autoworks was outstanding and my advice to anyone with a unique or challenging problem with your AC is to go see Francis and his team at Urban AC!

Francis and team did a great job fixing my 2007 hatchback. I took it in for a serious water leak - they fixed the leak, deep cleaned the carpet and dried everything thoroughly. They also discovered that my e-brake was seized and took all the steps to fix while being very price conscious. They are honest, fair, and meticulous. Highly recommend

Recently I took a 63 years old classic car to Unban A/C Autoworks to have the air conditioning converted to 134A
Many mechanics would not attempt working on a car of this vintage, but Francis and Johnson welcomed the challenge.
After diagnosing the problems of the old system, they made suggestions on new parts by spending hours online checking them out. This saved me more than $1000.
Due to the car's age, many of the required A/C hoses were no longer available. Johnson skillfully adapted new hoses with clamps that fitted flawlessly. He even welded metal parts to complete the job.
My windshield washer was not operating and previously I had asked another shop to check it out to no avail. Johnson quickly diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and now the system is operating efficiently.
Francis even called me more than once to give me an update on the A/C conversion.
While working underneath the hood, these technicians noticed a deteriorating rubber hose from the fuel pump. They replaced it free of charge.
Francis and Johnson make a great team.
With their accurate diagnostic skills, incredible expertise, dedicated work ethic and effective communication skills, a 5 stars review seems inadequate.

These guys saved our car.

We'd had an undetected leak that resulted in all sorts of assorted nastiness, including smelly mold in the cabin. Only a small handful of shops specialize in dealing with leaks, and even fewer do it well. After researching options online, we gave these folks a try. They were great to deal with and did a thorough job of sorting it out. Thank goodness for these guys.

Where to start with these guys, just absolutely the best shop around. I had multiple super bad leaks and these guys found and fixed all them perfectly! It is like a brand new interior. Great communication and pricing also. Just a couple of gems. Will absolutely be back no questions about that.

I brought my car in for water damage repairs about five months ago. My car was dealing with inches of water puddling in the footwells as well as significant molding in the back seats and trunk area as a result of the moisture. I brought my car into Francis' shop and was blown away by the service! Francis was incredibly transparent throughout the entire process, thoroughly walking me through the diagnosis and ensuring he'd request my approval before working beyond our agreed fixes. He priced the fixes incredibly fairly and broke down the rate while providing clear reasoning behind it (given all the work they did, the amount paid was very justified). He and Johnson found the source of the leaks and did such a meticulous and thorough job fixing it. Moreover, they pulled out all the carpeting to let it dry, removed all the mold, and ozone treated the problem areas. All the mold was gone and hasn't returned. About a month later I asked Francis if he could double check a spot he fixed and since it was covered under his one year warranty he investigated it at no extra charge. Lastly, when I got the car back, the carpets were all vacuumed and cleaned before being put back into my car, a thoughtful finish. I really feel like they treat their customers' cars like their own. All in all, Francis' and Johnson's service is incredibly professional, courteous, thorough, thoughtful, and high quality. Highly recommend!

This is a late post, but last year had a water leak in my bmw and took it to Francis and his team based on general recommendations across the internet. Francis and his team are extremely honest, knowledgeable, communicative and fair in pricing. They went out of their way to accommodate me and the car issues, and even noticed other issues and helped fix them. I could not recommend this shop enough for electrical, water leak, or ac work (among others). Will be back again if I have any issues!

I brought in my Subaru a couple weeks ago due to a leak in my ac system and the guys were able to diagnose and fix the problem, AND get the car back to me all within the same day. When I went to pick up my car one of the gentlemen came up to me and said they want to fix my side skirts (which were falling off) they ended up fixing 3 different small things on the body that I just haven’t gotten around to fixing, and believe it or not no extra charge, just the kindness of their hearts. Will definitely be coming back.

Several months ago Francis and Johnson installed air conditioning in my 1986 VW Westfalia. I waited a bit before providing a review to make sure everything continued to function well. This was a difficult job and they were excellent to work with. They were very honest and trustworthy and found ways to save money wherever they could. I would highly recommend them. Thanks!

Quality and honest shop! Francis and Johnson did a fantastic job replacing my compressor, and more importantly, diagnosing and fixing the several trunk and side leaks in my civic. They're both kind and honest people and I just feel relieved to have found these guys. I'd recommend them to anyone.

It's hard to find good help these days, so it was a relief to find that old fashion care and service still exists! Francis and Johnson kept working on my very old truck until the AC worked again, where others would not even try. They even came in on the weekend to get it finished for me. They care about their customers and the service that they offer, and it is appreciated.

Fantastic work. They are eager to work with you and to help sort out any issues you may have with your vehicle. I took my car in to check out an A/C electrical issue and they were honest and meticulous. My problem was unique as it ended up being an issue with my ECU. However, Francis was able to test many parts of the electrical and mechanical system to isolate where the issue was coming from. They care about the small details and are very honest. I highly recommend this shop and will definitely be returning for any future A/C and electrical maintenance

Where do I even start? These guys are fantastic. I brought an older 1997 Landcruiser in to get my AC fixed. At first, I thought that the compressor just need to be replaced, but they diagnosed an electrical problem which is usually a pain to find. These guys troubleshooted the problem and sorted out all the electrical issues and did the necessary mechanical fixes for my vehicle.

Along with their amazing work, these guys are complete professionals. This was one of the best customer service I've ever experienced and I highly recommend them. Best in the business!

Honest and trustworthy shop! They repaired my AC system at a reasonable price and warranty their work. Customer service is great- they diagnosed and informed me of the issue and repaired it same day. I'm happy to return for any other AC work I may ever need on my car as I know it's in expert hand. They care for the cars they repair and the customers they serve.

I have two words for these two guys: Honesty and Competency.
The A/C of my Mercedes B200 turbo 2009 was not working so I brought to a technician here in Maple Ridge. He made a diagnose in the car and said that the condenser and the evaporator core were leaking and because the evaporator is a dash job that he wouldn't do it and that would cost me probably around $2000-3000. Then I contacted other shop that said that the evaporator leak was rare and the condenser replacement and recharge would be $1500.
So I found them ( Francis and Johnson) online and was really impressed with the reviews. Then I brought my car there and understood what everybody wrote here, they are really outstanding professionals.
They confirmed that only the condenser needed to be replaced and the A/C recharged and did a magnificent job for almost half of the price.
I deal with cars/maintenance and shop around for more than 25 years. If you need a A/C related job in your car, don't waste your time, just go to Urban AC Autoworks and you will also understand what I am saying.
They are my A/C technicians from now on and I recommended then to everyone that I could.

Very nice and honest staff. Francis was a pleasure to work with. They would call with any updates and give you very honest feedback. Prices are also very reasonable. I had taken the car to two dealerships and they quoted me double what I paid with Urban AC. Those dealerships estimated much more significant work. However, Urban AC were able to figure out the root cause which fixed it.
