This trail was a great find! It is flat and well maintained with phenomenal views as you walk. There were lots of different birds to see as you walk, along with other wildlife. The trail wasn't too busy. It was nice to walk while listening to the sounds of the different birds in the trees. The views of the mountains while walking was also breathtaking.

Better known as “the dike” this trail is all along the small river, both side have walking/running/biking trail which go all the way to the bridge. Very easy to see coyotes, bears and birds. I always carry my bell and bear-spray hoping not to use it ever. Is wide and quiet, its flat area so is easy to see fauna from long distance and keep doing your stuff with no problem. It can go for more than 8 km long

Loved this trail. Nice place to bike and stroll. Walk along the river dyke, peaceful most times. Get to see some beautiful river life. Cranes, ducks and different types of birds. Ample space and room for bikers as well.

One of my favorite local walks. Wildlife and pristine nature that take your breath away. I especially enjoy these two trails in the winter as the blueberry fields flush red and the mountains pack with snow. 💛

This is one of my favorite go-to's for a walk after work. It's flat, you can walk far enough to ground and shift your perspective.

There's incredible wildlife, from Ravens and Eagles to the occasional Bear (I've only seen a Bear once there, and it ambled along quite peaceably, and seemed completely unperturbed by the people around)

I've seen people on horseback twice, and lots of people running and cycling.

It's not particularly well protected as it's open and near the water for most of the way, so wear a hat and sunscreen. The path is flat which makes walking, running and cycling easy.

Walking from the trailhead to the entrance to Minnekhada Park is a pretty section, passing acres of blueberries, resting cranes, and the ever-changing face of Mt. Burke. Go early in the day to avoid crowds. Lots of cute doggos.

Wonderful bike run from Minnikada Lodge along the dykes beside the Pitt River to Lougheed Hwy.Hardly anyone about on this cool overcast day.The Tricities have some of the best bike trails on the lower mainland.Check out the hunting dogs grave sight on the left chained entrance to the lodge just before the incline.Unmarked and largely unknown.Great day!

A quiet and flat easy trail where you can enter from Minnekhada park and trail area at the end of Victoria Ave in Port Coquitlam.

Easy way to walk but watch out for the bicycles and electric kick board at speed. Also watch out for dog poops.

Beautiful trail perfect for walking and biking. A wide, flat gravel path that eventually takes you along Pitt river.

A great spot for wildlife watching, as well - in the warmer months, black bears are very active in this area, so use caution.

Not much in the way of parking around the area, so you might find it difficult to get a spot .
