Norm's Delicatessen

I’ve always heard of Norm’s before and have lived here for years but never popped in. I did last week as I say they have Tuna Macaroni Salad which is my favourite and I’ve never seen any other place carry it. I went in for just that… I downed the whole thing like it was nothing. Absolutely delicious! No hard or bitter chunks, nice and creamy and no fishy taste in the tuna. It’s perfect!

Had to come back to try the other offerings. So far I’ve had the Pierogies and the Montreal on a Kaiser. Delicious, simple, priced pretty good and they are relatively fast. This will be a regular visit for me.

Though I’d love to have a much bigger container of Tuna Mac!! I could eat 10lbs of that.

Have been here many times and always had a good experience. Love the perogies and schnitzel. They take card too now which is awesome.

I’ve been going to Norm’s for years (since I was 15 or 16 and in high school) and always enjoyed the food. The previous owners recently sold up and Norm’s was lucky enough to be purchased by two lovely ladies. They are keeping with the traditional menu while making innovations in how they operate which is great to see. They’ve recently added themselves on Uber and are opening for longer hours during the week (to take care of the dinner time clients). They are also now accepting debit and credit payments (it used to be cash only). The pirogies are still the same (made with love and care) and one of my favourite menu items. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious lunch or dinner!

The place is brilliant! I had a little of everything, cabbage rolls, chicken schnitzel, perogies, and a Montreal smoked meat sandwich. All of the staff were very friendly and service was prompt. Will for sure make this a regular stop for lunch.

Stopped in for a sandwich as we were passing through. Awesome welcome and service. We sat at one of the few tables in the front. Sandwiches are excellent. Definitely stop by next time we are in the area.

Ordered perogies, chicken schnitzel, shishkabobs, cabbage rolls. The perogies were amazing, schnitzel was moist and tender, best shishkabobs I have ever had and cabbage rolls were delicious. I can’t wait to return for more delicious food. Thank you ladies.

Walked in at 5:50 pm (10 minutes before closing) and they without a problem made me some fresh perogies - perogies guaranteed until closing is very real!
Also made me a delicious chicken schnitzel sandwhich

Montreal smoked meat on rye and Dijon was great. They had excellent kalbanos and a wicked sense of humour!

This is a local gem. There are quite a few items which are famous and sought after. However, their pierogi, cabbage roll and kebab is absolutely delicious. I have been going their to try different items, and I am pleasantly surprised with each visit. It is a family run business, its nice to speak the owner. They treat you like family and always ask about you. Please carry cash with you, its a cash only place. Thank you Norm and family for the lovely food.

Very good fresh food. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Everything is fresh and homemade. Prices are very fair as well. Will come back

Tried the pierogis, kabobs and pork schnitzel today and it was great! The tomato sauce was good for dipping and the pierogies are large. Will definitely eat here again. Thanks

This place is a gem for simple European comfort food made proper with love.

Food and customer service both amazing. I felt like I got special treatment until I sat, enjoying my meal, watching customer after customer being treated the same. I can't say enough about what a delightful experience this was.

Awesome place , a hidden gem in Bowmanville. This deli has been around for years . The owners work there every day, Whether its corn beef or schnitzel or giant perogies, you cant' go wrong here. I'm getting hungry writing about it.

Family owned and operated and still behind the counter. The littlest addition just came along and I’m glad because the food is awesome!

Bring cash for your visit and plan to take out or eat at the counter. Excellent value and taste!

We love the perogies, cabbage rolls, and smoked meat sandwich. We make usually detour on our way to the cottage to stop for lunch, definitely recommend visiting!

Best perogies I've ever had! Everything is amazing! Cabbage rolls and schnitzel, Sooo good! Very clean and staff is so friendly! Call ahead cause they sell out fast!!!!
