We did a family photo shoot with Jennifer in March and it was such a comfortable and lovely experience! She brought little toys to help distract our 2 and 4 year olds and really made the entire experience one that was fun and enjoyable... not an easy task with toddlers! Our gallery turned out amazing! So much joy and love flowing from each and every image. All in all, I would highly recommend Jennifer to anyone looking for a family photographer!

Well, Jennifer Lord Photography has officially become our family photographer! We had the pleasure of working with Jenn for our maternity and newborn photos and thought it was time for some new family photos. I had the perhaps overly ambitious idea that it would be fun to include my sister, sister-in-law and their families in the shoot. That meant 5 adults and 3 kids - ranging from under a year old to 4 years old. Not only was Jenn so flexible and accommodating when it came to scheduling the shoot itself (imagine coordinating that many schedules, plus nap and sleep schedules for the little ones), but Jenn was also amazing throughout the whole shoot, making sure she captured all the photo combinations I was hoping for. Needless to say, getting toddlers and babies to cooperate can be tricky - and my 2 and a half year old son was not having it. Jenn was amazing with the kiddos - incredibly patient and sweet with them. It was fun, but chaotic trying to get our son to look at the camera and smile, and I left wondering if any of the photos would show my usually smiling, happy boy - but I was willing to accept that the pictures would reflect the reality of a 2 year old. Jenn sent us previews of our photos and I’m blown away. She managed to capture the most beautiful photos of our family - and you wouldn’t know from looking at the photos that our son was stingy with his smiles or that I was as stressed as I was trying to wrangle him. Seriously, consider Jenn for your photography needs. She’s professional, talented and fun to work with. It’s evident from both her attentiveness during the shoot as well her final products that she loves what she does. Thank you, Jenn, for the gorgeous photos! We can’t wait until the next session!

Jennifer was amazing! Her familiarity with the location and experience with kids definitely made our photo session very relaxing and enjoyable. We booked a family session with Jenn, and we weren’t disappointed! We didn’t make it easy on her - an abnormally cold fall evening plus a tired preschooler made for a challenging combination. But Jenn worked magic and provided us a library of frame-worthy shots that captured our family perfectly. She was patient with the kids, had a few tricks to keep their attention, and paid attention to details like clothes or hair placement that made a big difference in our final photos. We would recommend her to anyone, and won’t hesitate to use her again.

Highly recommend Jennifer! She was amazing at making my one year old laugh and smile in almost every single shot, and we parents know that is not easy to do! She is very patient, and knows great locations for beautiful shots. We used Jennifer for our family portraits and they came out amazing. Will be using Jennifer again for sure!

Jennifer was such a pleasure to deal with and so accommodating to our busy schedule. When the stars finally aligned and we found an hour that worked for our busy teens, the family shoot went off without a hitch. Jennifer was fun, easy going, and so professional! Jennifer is the most amazing photographer that we could have asked for! For our first family photo with two littles, she really put us all at ease and made us feel so comfortable and free to try new things. Our 4 year old was taken by the camera and Jennifer made her feel so special with taking a few pictures on her own. We can't wait to do another photoshoot with Jennifer next year.

Jenn has been taking our family photos since 2015, and we have the best time when we do a shoot (even when we are tired from being up in the middle of the night with a toddler). Looking through Jenn's gallery you will see smiling children and you may think 'oh my child will never do that', I can assure you - they will because Jenn is able to capture those seconds when they are screaming with glee and it looks like they are so happy and cooperating (rest assured they were not - Jenn was just able to make magic happen with that camera of hers). The editing always blows me away, everything looks natural and yet Jenn will take the time to make sure your wrinkly blouse looks freshly pressed. Taking family photos is stressful for moms, what do you wear, my child isn't smiling, I am not smiling - do not worry - Jenn is so fun and easy to be around you will instantly just listen to her directions and smile and then you will get your teasers and be so thrilled - promise.

Jennifer did an amazing job with our session! The boys responded very well to her jokes and toy props to create a natural photo session full of fun. She is also very friendly and engaging with her direction and posing instructions. :D
