Great place to explore South Indian cuisine. The food was excellent quality with fine spice level and authentic flavors. Variety of food selection with reasonable priced. The tipping option are enormous. The customer service met beyond the expectations and pleasing with accommodating nature. Washrooms are clean. Amble parking at a great location. Definitely will come back with my family and friends. No hesitation of recommendation to the food lovers.

Had Chicken Kotthu and asked them to make it spicy.
It was super spicy and fresh. A little bit of coriander leaves were added on top. It came with a tasty gravy.

Great portion that I shared with another person.

The other day, I tried their Rasam, awesome in flavours and heaven on a rainy day.
Poori and Parata are a bit oily, but tasty.

I was eager to try their idli, but they said that it's not available.

Update : On my second visit, tried Chicken pepper fry with extra spicy. They delivered it as expected high level of spice and tasted great with rice.

But be prepared for many No No. Rasam wasn’t available. Rasamalai and Faluda drink were also not available. So left the place without any desserts.

I recently dined here and was genuinely impressed by the experience. Despite the low rating, which initially gave me pause, I decided to give it a try and am so glad I did.

The food here is nothing short of exceptional. Each dish is a flavorful journey, showcasing the rich and diverse tastes of South Indian cuisine. The dosas are perfectly crisp, the sambar is deliciously spiced, and the chutneys are fresh and vibrant.

The service was warm and attentive, adding to the overall delightful experience. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot for both a casual meal and a special occasion.

I urge future customers not to be misled by the current rating. This hidden gem deserves much higher recognition. I wholeheartedly give this place a 5/5 and look forward to returning soon.

Food was delicious! And the server Sahil was so sweet and fast with service. We got our utensils and waters immediately after being seated, and were even expedited an appetizer earlier than expected. Cute little spot, I really appreciate the art they have up on the walls. It’s a little run down, but for the food, service, and maybe a little bit of privacy and intimacy w your introverted mate, this spot is perfect. Oh and they checked if the food was dairy free for me beforehand which I really appreciated. (Worth the price it don’t break the bank btw! A dosa is like $10)

We’ve been coming to this restaurant for the past 10 years and it has always been an excellent place for South Indian food.

Growing up in India, we enjoyed dosas, idlis etc in Bombay and Madras.

Our meal today was exceptional! We were so impressed that we ordered food for dinner and a take away for my brother.

We’ve known Dylan our server for all the 10 years we’ve been visiting and his understanding of Indian food has always amazed us. He’s a great guy and always cares for his guests.

Yummy food and drinks with great service, I've tried the gunpowder dosa and the mango Lassi I loved it 😋. Server was very jubilant thumbs 👍 😁. Atmosphere was great with lovely music

Very nice Indian varieties and close to Deer Lake park. Have enough free parking whenever I visit. The waiting time for the dishes is a little longer.

This is a genuine 5/5 South Indian restaurant (probably the best in the lower mainland). Me and my buddy tried their Chicken 65, Masala Dosa and Spring Masala Dosa. They were all really delicious. Chicken 65 was spicy and crispy served with 2 types of chutneys. Their dosas were crispy, and filled with a decent amount of filling. Spring Dosa was very refreshing with its green onions, tomatoes and cilantro. Sambar was hot and tasty (unlike the cold and thick one you get at Dosa Factory). It was worth our 20 minute wait time. Would definitively visit again.

Me and my friend went to this place and for the first time also first time to have fresh dosas. It turned out to be really good! The dosas are so yum and everything else are delicious too! The staff is really helpful and nice

I've always said that the decor of a restaurant doesn't matter as long as the food slaps. At Chettinad Dosa Palace, you can expect a strange small restaurant nestled in a grimy disheveled parking lot. You can also expect the most perfect, crispy, paper thin dosas filled with the most flavorful meat or vegetables you could ever taste. I had the lamb vindaloo dosa, and words cannot easily convey how absolutely perfect it tasted in every conceivable way. Imagine a complex bouquet of spices hugging perfectly stewed chunks of lamb only for a hit of cardamom to kiss you on the way down - ABSOLUTE PERFECTION. Do not judge a book its cover, and visit this wonderful disheveled gem of a restaurant for some of the best Dosas you can taste in the whole GVRD.

I had the prawn masala dosas s my husband had the lamb masala dosa! Both incredible packed with flavour. The price was right and we were both very satisfied once we were finished, I’m glad we tried it! It will be a frequent stop for us since we live across the street now!

I love their dosas. Always go there for south indian food. Always call them to check timings for store because they have their own timings. Otherwise, good store

Super delicious and very kind service. The veggie samosas are out of this world, the lamb curry is so delicious. Great garlic naan, dosa and raita too. The food takes time but comes out hot and fresh so is worth it. Just relax, come prepared to wait a bit and then enjoy.

Excellent food. Not overloaded with hot chilli, so you could really taste the flavours. We got masala vada, masala dosa, Bhindi (okra) and eggplant curry, tomato and coconut chutneys - all very delicious. Even the Indian Chai was lovely. The food does take a while to be ready after ordering and some items on the menu were not available at the time of order - that’s okay. It was our first time ordering today, take-out, and we’ll definitely come back to dine in.
