Last week I did my 3rd photoshoot with Bassam in 6 years. We did the Authentic Me black and white shoot. I want to say a huge thank you. I had moments of pure joy in the car on my way back home. This has life changing effects on people.

The best photographer ever! Honestly, Bassam made my fiancé and I feel so comfortable during our maternity shoot. It was a magical time. He gave us undivided attention, he made our pictures feel so natural as well as very professional guidance. He is passionate about what he does and it transpires in his work. The vibe is so fun, relaxing and comfortable all at once. We are definitely coming back for our next pregnancy shoot!

In December I finalized decided to gift myself a photoshoot. After researching several photographers I chose Bassam from Kurious Photography, first and foremost because his photos captured the essence that I wanted and I fell in love with his artistic nudes. To be honest, I was apprehensive at first about the photoshoot being with a man, having found so many more women photographers that did this type of photoshoot but Bassam was truly wonderful in appeasing all my fears. I shared my concern with him and he really did everything to make me feel as comfortable as possible. He was respectful, professional, I did not have one moment of being uncomfortable. As a matter of fact, even though I was shy at first, in about 15 minutes, I was comfortable enough to try more "osée" pictures.

He was respectful of any boundaries I put in place and communicated very well throughout the photoshoot. I valued his professional opinion on the clothing, the hair, the poses, the different themes we tried. I felt his passion for the work in the art.

I cannot recommend him enough, I am so glad I decided to go with him and once I got my pictures, I was blown away.

We are both over 50 years old and it was our first boudoir shoot. I was nervous at first because I’m so sensitive about my wrinkles and cellulite and extra rolls around the middle. I was worried that I would be too critical of my own body in the photos. But Patricia and Bassam took the time to encourage me to focus on all the ‘good’ parts. They helped me to pose in such a way as to accentuate the positive. And the results were amazing. The whole experience helped me to appreciate my body, and recognize my beautiful self, wrinkles and all.

Con mi esposo estuvimos buscando, por varios meses, el fotógrafo ideal para mi sesión fotográfica.
Después de revisar el portafolio en línea de varios fotógrafos, en diferentes partes del mundo, nos decidimos por Bassam y lo contactamos durante la cuarentena (por el COVID-19) para manifestarle nuestro interés por realizar una sesión de desnudo artístico.
Desde el momento que lo contactamos, Bassam nos permitió intercambiar opiniones con él para encontrar aquellos juegos de luz y sombras con las imágenes que queríamos que hiciera de mi cuerpo. Bassam fue muy paciente durante todo este proceso y dado que era mi primera vez, fueron de gran ayuda todas sus contribuciones para perfeccionar las ideas que teníamos.
Unos meses después de concluida la cuarentena pudimos coordinar con él, finalmente, la sesión fotográfica. No voy a mentir: las dudas inundaban mis pensamientos y los nervios me traicionaban. Sin embargo, el profesionalismo de Bassam ayudó a liberar las tensiones que tenía y la sesión fotográfica fluyó cómodamente. La sesión fue extenuante pero sumamente satisfactoria y divertida. Me sentí la mujer más bella en ese momento y el producto final no pudo ser mejor.

Au premier contact, c'était tout de suite très professionnel et en respect avec ce que je voulais. Bassam est très à l'écoute de ce que l'on veut faire et s'assure que le projet reponde à nos attentes et plus encore !
