I have been treated at Elgin Chiropractic for more years than I wish to count. The office staff are wonderful: friendly, helpful, accommodating, and efficient !
Dr. Mark Slater is professional, quick to assess the correct treatment, and always explains what needs to be done. He has treated me through sciatica, plantar fasciitis, sacroiliac pain as well as my many other back issues. I can count on him to help with my various pains and not prolong the treatments.

Dr Robin van Der Mark is the best chiropractor ever. I pulled my pelvis out but dr Robin fixed me up and I'm all better. He made feel better.

I have been coming to Elgin Chiropractic &multi-disciplinary Clinic for 23 yrs now and have always been completely happy with my service. Mark Slater has been instrumental in helping me live a pain free life. I also like that he has a good sense of humor.

Ok. Where do I start. I've had back pain for 2 years now. In the past 2 weeks I've gone from intermittent back pain to constant pain. I've always gone for acupuncture and physiotherapy and none of the places that I have gone to have actually fixed the problem. If you were to tell me that I would go from no sleep to being completely healed I would say that you're out of your mind and that will never happen. In the past week I finally got my wish. I ended up starting with Mark and after only one session, and I repeat after only one session, he took me back to when I was in my twenties. I've never had zero back pain in years. It's still unbelievable to me that I went from not being able to sleep to suddenly turning back the clock 20 years. I know you don't believe it either but give it a try because it's kind of something along the lines of a miracle what happened to me. I always want to know the ins and outs of how things happen so this one I can't explain but all I know is after I left his clinic I was in regular pain just as I was but then 4 hours later suddenly the pain slowly decreased down to absolutely zero. I don't know if it was what he did with my back or the laser or whether he popped the blood vessel or I have no idea. All I know is that I've never felt this way not just from 2 years ago but for decades. Thanks to Mark Slater

Best place to go and most trusted chiropractor. I was very nervous about even seeing one but Mark is great. I would not go anywhere else. Even my family comes here.

I honestly couldn’t barely walk when I entered Elgin this past Tuesday. Dr Slater has worked wonders these last three days and am hopeful that I can get on a plane Monday and have Spring Break in AZ. Thanks so much and your staff is wonderful!

Dr. Robin Van Der Mark is a life saver! I tweaked my shoulder from an athletic injury and couldn't move my head to the left, stiff neck, intense searing pain shooting down my back. I couldn’t sleep at all due the excruciating discomfort. They got me in right away, and he helped me with Theralase thermal laser to reduce inflammation ofnthe joint and surrounding muscle. Gentle adjustments folowed days later by some very welcomed deeper adjustments. 10/10 will return regularly

Dr Slater recently treated me for a problem I had never had before which was painful symptoms with my back and leg that turned out to be from sciatica.
He truly made me feel comfortable with his treatment plan and he was so knowledgeable with the diagnosis as well as the solution. After the first treatment ( which included laser therapy ) I already could feel that the session was a success and I have continued for the past month to receive treatments. Dr Slater assured me that he would be able to help and after only a month I am almost completely pain free, able to walk and have almost totally recovered!
I would highly recommend seeing Dr Slater for any issues you have with your back or feet problems ( I have had orthotics from him as well as successful treatment of planters fasciitis )

Under his capable care, all my various aches and pains from years of soccer, as well as suffering from frequent migraines, have been significantly reduced. I have been seeing Dr Slater for many years for a variety of aches & pains. He has used many different types of treatments and I have always been very happy with the results. I get my foot orthotics from him which have been a godsend. Staff are also great there. Would highly recommend !!

I was originally skeptical about chiropractics in general, but I regret not coming here sooner. Dr Van der Mark did a great job of talking me through it all while also asking thorough questions himself to mitigate risks. I originally went there just to improve forward neck posture, and the adjustments he made fixed the neck posture along with back posture and lower back pain. It also relieved chronic tightness in my upper back and hamstrings to boot. Definitely got more than I thought possible and felt safe doing it too.

Dr Slater keeps our daughter in the game, helping her stay healthy and injury free. Staff is very friendly and helpful, with variable clinic hours that work well for busy families. Recommend 100%!

Client of Dr Van Der Mark for Chiro, and now also Ernie for RMT. Both great. I have a past neck injury as well as a more recent lower back injury, it’s important that my treatments are mindful of my past and current needs. I require a delicate approach to my neck, and can have anxieties around treatment, these were discussed in an open and understanding manner when I first arrived 3 years ago, and continues to be an ongoing conversation. There is an emphasis on maintaining care which has helped me to get to a new level of stability. Work takes me out of town frequently recently so it’s been great to have some office hours later in the afternoon and evening too. Recently started pairing Chiro with massage and have found Ernie to be quite effective and similarly concerned about understanding the full picture before beginning as well. It’s been great, if you’re looking for kind, consistent, goal based care, this is a great place. Also the admins are amazing!

I decided yo change chiropractors from downtown as I work mainly from home. I had heard good things about both Mark and Robin but Mark was able to see my brother on short notice (he's from out of town) when here for the marathon so I opted to see him. Mark was quick and concise - able to get the job done and me on my way without having to wait an extended period. Bonus points for being the first chiro to not try and sell me orthopedic insoles (I have never had any issues arising from my feet/arches but it's always brought up).

I have been seeing Dr Van Der Mark for over 20 years, I am a fairly active late 50 year old , he has always been able to get me back to my fitness routine with his treatments. Also see him for on going maintenance just so I can stay active. Looking forward to my next appointment after a 2 week holiday of biking, paddle boarding and kayaking. Nice friendly staff also, very efficient and appointments are always on time.

When I first went to see Dr. Slater, I didn’t think I could walk properly again, without pain, but thanks to Dr. Slater, I have full mobility back and can walk better then ever.
