Sugo on Surrey

We have been ordering take out from Sugo since the pandemic. Finally, we had the opportunity to go in and enjoy the restaurant. Before coming we called in to make a reservation as it was a Saturday night and we weren't sure how busy they were going to be. The lady informed us that there are two big parties coming at 6pm. We got there for 4:30pm and never felt rushed. They prepared a good table for us near the fireplace where my youngest daughter who uses a wheelchair was able to move around well and have plenty of space. The food came quick and it tasted even better than the take-outs. Service was excellent from start to finish. Portions were very filling. The charcuterie board was amazing, we had the small size but next time for sure going to try the larger size. One thing we really like about this place is that it has lots of parking in the back. They also had a wheelchair accessible spot right by the door which was so convenient for us. We look forward to returning soon.

Decided at the last minute to book a table at Sugo on Surrey for the two of us for an impromptu date night. SO glad we decided to dine here! The ambience inside the restaurant is great, with several different rooms, each allowing for an intimate dining experience. Really love the exposed stone work on the walls!
Our meal was delicious. We started with a strawberry fizz and a pint of Moretti for drinks. I really enjoyed my beet salad, while my husband had the caesar. My glass of Chianti was served at the perfect temperature and was a great accompaniment with my meal. For our mains, he enjoyed the Waygu bolognese and I absolutely adored the seafood linguine. If it was polite to do so, I would have licked the sauce right out of my bowl. We both had to ask for take away containers as we could not finish all of our noodles. Next time we will leave room for dessert! So glad we decided to finally try this gem of a restaurant...we will definitely be back to try out more of the menu items. Thank you!

First time at this restaurant and would highly recommend it. Amazing starters and the pizza is to die for. Of course desert was great. Great service and a very nice place inside and out.

What an absolute gem of a restaurant! I wish I had gone here sooner. The food was incredible - I HIGHLY recommend the meatballs. The ravioli was a perfectly portioned entree and so so delicious. The torta dessert was tart and not overwhelmingly sweet.
The inside is so intimate and warm, a really great date night spot (you should definitely make reservations). Our servers were very nice and attentive.
I love this restaurant and can't wait to come back!

The food was exceptional, the staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The atmosphere and decor was friendly and welcoming. We had a memorable dining experience and would like to give it more than five stars.

We went to Sugo to celebrate a family member's birthday. The food was incredible. Our table shared a few appetizers, and they were all delicious. Our mains were so tasty. We shared the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. It was so good and rich. It was a perfect shareable dessert. The space is beautiful, the bathrooms clean, and the servers were friendly and attentive. I would absolutely go back for another occasion.

Upon planning our elopement I went on Facebook to get some recommendations for a restaurant to deliver our wedding day meal to our b&b room. The consensus was Sugo on Surrey. My new husband and I were not disappointed! I contacted Alex several times via email regarding the menu and our options and he was incredibly helpful. He hand-delivered our meal to us as planned and on time and the food was incredible! My husband loves a good steak and is quite picky but easily gave his ribeye a 10/10 adding that it was cooked perfectly, and the flavour was amazing given it wasn't over-seasoned. I ordered the seafood linguine and it was perfecto! The citrus sauce was delectable and the seafood cooked to perfection. And the desserts... The tiramisu melted in our mouths and the brownie was delicious. Overall, we give an easy 10/10 for our meal and service, which is usually challenging to accomplish with a delivered meal. We can't wait to visit in person sooner than later.

Really nice ambiance at the bar. Really good daily special with slow roasted pork belly with beet risotto with a side of octopus. Will be coming back!

Had an amazing experience with my daughter last month. This place has a great warm, intimate atmosphere to it and WOW the food is next level. We had the bar tender as our server and his mixed drinks were all so yummy and well balanced. Whatever food you order I am certain you will not be disappointed... and do yourself and get the Affogato for dessert!

First time going and went for a post-graduation dinner with family. We made a reservation and were greeted upon arrival by our server. Had a few slip ups on ordering (our fault, not our servers!) but they were corrected so quickly which we appreciated so much! The food was divine, so fresh and so tasty. We got the ricotta gnocchi, butternut squash ravioli, and the chicken supreme, all 10/10! Highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious food and a good time. After 3 visits, the consistent quality of the food and service has been terrific! Some particular standouts for me in October 2023 have been Nonna's Meatballs, Cajun Asiago Crab Dip, Braised Lamb Shanks and the Triple Chocolate Brownie. Service is friendly and what you would expect from restaurant of this caliber.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sugo on Surrey for date night with my boyfriend, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. As someone with specific food restrictions, finding a restaurant that genuinely accommodates dietary needs can be a challenge. However, Sugo exceeded all our expectations in every possible way.

I emailed Sugo prior to reserving to ask about my specific restrictions. Eric, the owner, replied to my email personally to notify that his staff would be more than willing to accommodate us.

From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. We preferred to sit at the high tables in the bar section, it was intimate and we thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance.

We both ordered the Beef Ribeye which was customized perfectly to fit our needs. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, and it was evident that fresh, high-quality ingredients were used. The attention to detail in our meal, combined with the impeccable service, made the experience truly special.

I also was impressed with the sparkling water bottle service! As a non alcohol drinker this was amazing for me! My boyfriend was impressed with their draught beer selection, all local breweries which he appreciates. He loves to support local, non globalist brewing companies.

If you have food restrictions or are simply looking for a fantastic dining experience, I highly recommend Sugo. The combination of exceptional service, delicious food, and a genuine willingness to accommodate makes it a true gem.

Sugo is one of the only restaurants I will visit while I am visiting Ontario for the summer.

We regularly eat Italian food and this was absolutely phenomenal. Not only was everything exceptionally fresh, perfectly cooked, and deliciously seasoned, but the owner was extremely generous and kind when we picked up our meal. I've never felt so well treated and well fed by restaurant. We will be coming here again and again and again. NOTE that we couldn't even wait to eat the pizza before taking a picture. The meatballs are also mindblowing.

Wow what’s amazing place to be!!!! All my experience was so so great thanks to the host Andrée, she advised me for the wine (very good choice), I hesitated between 2 dishes and she guided me as it should.
So everything is wonderful: the place, the decoration, the dishes (fresh and good quality products), the drinks and the staff.
Without hesitation you can go there everything is good

First time at this place yesterday and it instantly became my favourite restaurant in town! Everything perfect, you can’t go wrong with anything you order from their menu. Delicious authentic italian food. Katie & Laura went above and beyond providing us with a 5 star service! I’m so impressed and glad I found this place.

Went with my wife for Dinner and the place is really cozy and has a good ambiance. Food was really good and the portion sizes were great. The service was exceptional. The place was full and recommend to make a reservation. Parking is available at the back and is limited. You may have to find roadside parking. Recommend this restaurant with five stars and would definitely return.

Hey Alex, I just wanted to let you know that my full meal last night was outrageously good. Best meal that I’ve ever had at Sugo hands down! The Caprese salad was one of the best if not the best Caprese salads I’ve ever had and I’ve had many. For my main I had the Pork Chop (cooked to perfection) which was one of the best meals I’ve ever had in a restaurant hands down! The warm potato salad was absolutely spectacular. Well done my friend, well done! Please pass my gratitude on to the kitchen staff and chef.
