Wonderful grocery store and Italian specialty market. Outstanding meat counter with fresh meats and a tremendous selection of cold cuts. Probably the best selection of dried pasta and olive oils in the city. Lots of very helpful staff and overall a wonderful shopping experience. Parking is tight but usually lots of room on the road.

Great grocery store, friendly and helpful store team. Fresh baked goods and a large deli counter. Go to place for items for cooking from scratch. Would highly recommend.

this store has been such a joy for me. it has fresh produce and meats and all the staff love working there because they all treat all the customers great. it's a pleasure to shop here every week for me.you won't be disappointed!

This place is a recent find even though I must have driven by 100s of times.

It's a small neighborhood Italian market. The service is high and the prices are lower than the chains. Produce is super fresh. The selection of fresh fruit and vegetables is fairly limited, but they have everything you need especially if you working on Italian dishes.

They have a wide range of pasta, an entire aisle. Some top quality artisan stuff (look for light colored pasta, with a rough texture, the lighter and rougher the better), to the less expensive, mass manufactured stuff (yellow and smooth) and many in between. Canned tomatoes, spices and herbs, some fresh basil still growing in a pot and a wide assortment of dried herbs and spices.

I went in looking for guanciale to make spaghetti alla carbonara, and this is the only place in the city that I found with whom this was a stick item. Imported from Italy, and not expensive considering what I thought I would pay.

They have a sandwich bar. You grab your bun from the bins of assorted buns, hand to the staff behind the counter when your cum er is called, tell them what meat and cheese you want, in a few minutes your sandwich is slid across the counter to you. Not even 6 dollars at the time of this review (oct 2023).

Did I mention that they bake all the bread for the sandwiches in house.l, and there also other house made loaves, and they are fantastic. In addition to the breads they also have sweets up front where pies, bars and cookies are available for purchase, again all made in house. The cookies are exceptional, I haven't tried anything else yet, but it looks good.

They also have an acceptable selection of other items, staple foods and otherwise.

Great place for specialty Italian goods and ingredients! Wide variety of Olive oils, spreads, pastas, and more. I visited a few times to buy different spreads, oils, and turrones and am always happy with the variety and authenticity. There is also a hot table that serves prepared food, deli goods, and baked goods. They make a fantastic sauce that you can buy with your food or buy to take home (highly recommend the sauce- it was fantastic!). One of my favourite places to go when I visit Windsor.

Great deli and butcher, along with an incredible selection of pasta, cheeses, and many other delicious Italian items. Very friendly staff who treat you like family. Always a highlight to come here and support a family-run small business that is one of the absolute BEST things about Via Italia!

I have been their customer since the early 90's and I have never had a bad experience with them. Best Italian store in the city and now they have food to go, it's perfect!

Absolutely love shopping here! Lastella has a great vibe and it's own culture, love all the Italian products.

I love to get my deli meats, freshly grated cheese and buns here all the time. I also really like their meat selection. Nice and fresh and well cut. I've been a customer for many years.

Love this place. Was in deli department today looking for a specific meat that my mother wanted. The lady referred me to another young lady who helped me find what I needed. Thank you ladies for your help and kindness my mother will be so grateful.

We have just launched our small business, "MANGIA Y'ALL" and serve a majority of Italian and southern American meat dishes. I have cooked hundreds of recipes trying to perfect taste and the number 1 common factor...the best foods I make start with La Stella Meats. I use the Pork Shoulder, Pork Butt, Ground Pork, Ground Beef, and Italian Sausages! I currently am at the Downtown Windsor Farmers Market every Saturday and people ask what my secret is to good food. I admit my recipes are fantastic but you have to have exceptional product to start with! THANK YOU LA STELLA!! MANGIA Y'ALL is also committed to buying local!

La Stella is an amazing store and so much fun to shop. Everything is fresh, clean and the staff is delightful. The green groceries, the butcher, the breads, the prepared foods, many types of pasta, condiments, dessert, and the deli are all extraordinary. The store is nicely laid out and the service quick and attentive. Shopping here is a must, not only for Italian items, but for everything. YES!

Our "go to" store for many grocery staples. Impressive variety of all things Italian including the best variety of pasta I have ever seen. Got fresh sliced veal scallopini from the meat counter which was amazing to cook with. The owner and staff go to great lengths to ensure you find what you need. The cannolies are fabulous! The store offers ready made meals. This local family run business is a local treasure.

Today was my first time going to La Stella as I wanted to treat myself to a sandwich and after looking at the website and reviews I was wanted to see. As soon as I walked in I was embraced by the wonderful atmosphere and people. The service was friendly and fast and the sandwich was like a big loving comforting hug. DELICIOUS! I will definitely be a regular customer and next time bring my son as we both love great food. Thank you to everyone at La Stella as it was like going to Italy and leaving the stress filled day behind!

These people are fantastic.... very comfortable shopping experience.... decent prices for a smaller grocer .... and conveinient without having to go to one of the "big stores"... plus the deli is fresh fresh!

Just got home from LaStella! The owner helped me out what a great experience. I will be shopping here for everything I need! To the guy who left the review about the employees yelling at each other...I'm from a Swedish family in the USA and even I know...that's just how Italians are they talk loud! If that scares you off well then you are missing out big time because this place is awesome!

You will find fresh produce, grocery and all kinds of great deli & butcher options for any meal. Not to mention, for a taste of Italy, they have a wide variety of goods that are pretty tough to find sometimes.

The Hot table is also delicious and makes for a lunch that will keep you going all day.
