I first came here over 12 years ago. This place is still as charming as it was many years ago. The food is always amazing. Perfectly fresh and hot, service is ALWAYS quick, attentive servers who help with questions. Probably one of the very few places in today’s world that has reasonable prices and gives you amazing portions. This place is amazing, really a hidden gem within Montreal.

I am a traveller from Edmonton and I have stayed in Montreal for 4 days. As Chinese, I can say this is such an authentic Chinese restaurant, and I think this is the best Chinese food I’ve taken in Montreal. We ordered 五香牛腩饭 & 鱼香茄子the price is so fair and food is very delicious! Love it. 🥺

I came here specifically for the beef stew and it was tender, delicious and in large quantity. The beef stew was serviced on top of rice, a simple and delicious combinasion. The price was very fair and the service was quick. It’s perfect for a quick lunch.

First time I've been there with my girlfriend. The most delicious food I have eaten in any Chinese restaurant. Large portions and affordable prices will keep us coming back for all time. And let me tell you the only thing that can match that is the service that we received from the staff. Very pleasant and helpful. If I could give 6 stars I would.

My favourite place that stays open late to bring my friends to after a night out. A lot of authentic dishes and the usual stuff you see at dim sum made to order at a fair price for big portions. Open view of the kitchen from the dinning area so you can see and hear your food being tossed in the wok. Clean tables, plates and utensils. Servers are attentive and speak English, French and Chinese, including a less well known dialect from my family’s hometown.

Price are affordable and large portions very clean and tasty.
Most of the Chinese restaurants service are bad. This restaurant gave very welcoming service.

What I liked:
-Closing very late:
Most of the restaurants in Montreal close around 10 or 11 pm, Wok Cafe is still open until 12am and during the weekends they close at 1 or 2am. For me who sleep very late, that's a nice place to eat when I'm hungry very late at night around midnight. Most of the restaurants are already closed, so Wok Cafe is perfect for closing late.
-The food quantity:
The quantity has larger portions compared to a normal restaurant. I'm very tall (2meters) so I need to eat a lot to get full. Usually the portion offered at a normal restaurant is clearly not enough and I have to order another meal which cost more than 30 bucks for sure. Their portion is bigger, and worth the price (~15 ~20 bucks). When I eat I am not totally full but not that hungry. I would say I'm full at 75% - 80% which is already good to not being starving.
-Friendly staff: Very common, but that's better to eat at a place where the staff is pleasant and friendly than a place where the staff is very unfriendly.
-Noise: I hate eating at very crowded place. I usually go there very late at night so that's perfect. Not that crowded and not that noisy. Very quiet and chill. It may be more dynamic (noisy and crowded) during late afternoon / early evening tho.
-Food quality: I haven't tried other dishes yet. I usually eat that with my friend (check the photos). This one is good if you like to eat something that has taste. I usually take the spicy option which is very tasty.

And the food is so flavorful and feels like you’re in China！You feel like you’re at home. I came here from Toronto，I always came here at first time，thank you so much for the amazing service and food.

We ordered General Tao’s, Lemon Chicken, and some dimsum. Service and the time when the food was served to us were great. Atmosphere is also almost the same as many other the Chinese restaurants but I really appreciate that they serve other cuisines like Thai and Vietnamese dishes.

I ordered takeout and they are really tasty with big amount and reasonable price! The bean curd roll is really crispy. Chinese style beef stew with rice is really great. The beef is soft and savory. The eggplant dishes is spicy and good!

Good chinese food with very affordable price. I like the fact that they have a combo for lunch , where you get all the sir vegetables and a soup for cheaper to go with the main dish. The ambiance is quite calm for a downtown spot. This was my second time eating there and I will definitely come back.

This place has a very welcoming atmosphere and the service is great. Every time we come here the server is so sweet and helps with suggestions. The food is very fairly priced, and you get a large quantity. Overall the flavor and experience are great. If you are curious, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

It was a very good place but I don’t understand what happened, the flavours changed the plate is smaller it’s still not that bad but you can feel the saving and cut on the menu.
Service is slow not that busy as used to be
We used to love that place whatever the change is please reverse it and bring back the place like before

The best fried rice I have ever had in Montréal!

Cute restaurant I stopped off to get some soup. I got the shrimp wonton soup and it was really good. Decent price and you get lots of shrimp! I will definitely be back to check out more of the menu!

I went yesterday with my husband and that was what I really wanted! Great taste, very good price and lovely service. I highly recommend it.
