Fabled Bean

This is such a cute little cafe and roastery in the heart of Cobourg, located right next to the beautiful Victoria Hall. The cafe is warm, bright and very welcoming, giving off very chill vibes with some nice music.
We ordered a flat white, a tea and some pastries. They also have bagels, wraps and sandwiches.
The highlight was definitely their coffee though. They roast their own beans and sell them as well. The branding is on point and so much fun, with mythical names and stories behind each of the beans they sell. 10/10 would recommend and would definitely visit again!

This place is so cute and cozy! My boyfriend and I stopped in last week and we absolutely loved the bagel and egg sandwiches along with a peppermint hot chocolate and a very delicious peppermint mocha!

We happened to walk into this new cafe in Cobourg. I am not a coffee drinker, but love the aromas and know good coffee. As per my husband, the coffee was excellent; my tea was hood as well. We bought a pack of their coffee beans as they smelled heavenly. Slice if the lemon and poppy seed loaf was perfect. We couldn't try the sandwiches as the were sold out; they bake their own bread. What I liked was the thoughtful gesture if making lemon infused water available for customers. The hosts engaged with all customers. The only thing that could be better is asking customers if they need coffee to stay or go. I would have preferred reusable mugs instead of take out. Good luck with this new endeavour!

I actually fell in love with coffee ☕ when I first traveled to Italy 🇮🇹 back in 2015!
This is when I discovered black coffee can actually taste amazing when it’s done right!

Fabled Beans has nailed this and they do it exceptionally well!
There is no comparison around here for the quality and taste.

They are wonderful and the service is above par!

A place to learn about different coffees, even my partner has a new appreciation for coffee and how it should taste.

We look forward to our walks and quality time spent sitting in the cafe and drinking our coffee and the delectable eats they have as well!

This cafe is just what this neighborhood needed! Comfy cozy decor, and such kind and knowledgeable owners. GET THEIR HOMEMADE SANDWICH BREAD!
Had the breakfast sandwich and it was soft and chewy in all the right ways. Corn “chowder” was so yummy. Finally the cappuccino was silky, creamy and nutty. Love this place

I love the toasted everything bagel with cream cheese, sorry no photo because I ate it too fast, it was SO WARM AND GOOD, i could literally have it every day. The decaf espresso is so very good, by the way! Ask for it by name, SLEEPING BEAUTY is their Mexican bean, roasted in house! I highly recommend trying some. I love it here so much😘☕. The owners are fab, the atmosphere is perfect!

What a great coffee shop. I asked for a 'pour over' coffee, explaining to Nick, the co-owner, that I was still chasing how to make the perfect cup of coffee. Nick took the time to give me a education on how to achieve my "coffee dream," as well was very patient answering my questions and explaining his new business. Nick obviously has a passion for all thing coffee.

The coffee Nick produced was on point.

Great location, reasonable prices, comfortable atmosphere (love the clean lines throughout). I can envision Fabled Beans becoming a "must go to" Cobourg coffee shop.

I am new to town and had a wonderful conversation with Dominic (one of the owners) who recommended so many things to do. The music is fun yet calming, the seating is modern and comfortable and the coffee smells SUPERB. The cappuccino was beautifully crafted, the cream cheese bagel was toasted to perfection and melts in your mouth, and the apple fritter was the best midday snack.
Definitely recommend a visit, even just for the story.

Great new place! The owners and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. We tried both a caramel frappe and cold brew, and enjoyed some fresh fritters. We also grabbed some coffee to go, being the “Wind in ‘Yer Sails” Colombian Medium Roast — so we’ll be enjoying some Fabled Bean at home before our next visit.
It was nice to drop into a local cafe that roasts their own beans in-house and feel like you’re getting a real coffee experience. We’ll be back!

I'm thinking I just had the best Latte of my life. Phenomenal. The chicken wrap was also absolutely delicious. A very professional setup. We even purchased their own roasted coffee beans to take back home.

Best tasting coffee in town, if not the county. Seriously. I usually drink coffee as a necessity for daily functioning and not for taste, but the coffee's so good here that it's truly a treat. I've tried two different types of espresso based drinks so far, and I've been blown away each time with how rich and nutty their coffee is. They roast their own beans as well which makes it all the more impressive.

The shop is bright and spacious, good for catching up with a group of loved ones. Donuts are yummy. Staff are kind and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Val and Nick knock it out of the park again! We had an outstanding americano, and an espresso tonic. Well balanced, not too bitter, and really showcasing the natural flavours of their coffee beans.

This power couple has been roasting coffee for the last few years out of Critical Hit Gaming Lounge in Courtice, and its about time they spun it off as a dedicated coffee brand!

They roast all their own coffee beans in house, and their food is sourced locally and organically, when possible. The bread is also baked in house!

Lots of great opportunities for future growth here. Looking forward to trying out their pour over and nitro cold brew offerings in the future!

Great coffee, I also got a bagel sandwich that was fresh and delicious. Coffee was great so I took home their medium Guatemalan roast.

10/10. I'm so happy I was able to find this cafe/roaster in Cobourg. The atmosphere and staff are great. Walking into the shop, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee immediately fills your senses. This is a great place to get premium coffee at a decent price. Be sure to grab a bag of beams if you pull your own shots at home. Will come again.

I recently visited the "Fabled Bean" cafe, and it was a perfect play! The ambiance was just right for a relaxed coffee experience. Speaking of coffee, it was the best I've had in the last few months – rich, aromatic, and brewed to perfection. What truly stood out was the warm hospitality of the owners, who made the visit even more enjoyable. Fabled Bean is definitely a gem, and I highly recommend it for a delightful coffee outing

The Fabled Bean is the ONLY coffee shop in cobourg that makes a proper latte. I have tried every coffee shop, and the Fabled Bean's latte is the best !!
I hope you all get a chance to try it.

Best Coffee east of Toronto! Roasted onsite. My Latte was strong, creamy and the perfect texture. Often lattes are more milk than coffee. This one was balanced perfectly. Treat yourself!

Amazing! I ordered an Americano after Nick explained the process to me and Harley suggested I try an apple fritter, the coffee was perfect! I decided to purchase a bag of freshly ground coffee to bring home and enjoy!
The environment is very welcoming and is beautifully set up, you can tell a lot of hart and consideration went in to the design.

Amazing coffee place! We were welcomed with a friendly “Welcome” by both Tom (owner) and Stephanie (master barista). We had a ham and Swiss with freshly baked Italian bread that was to die for and really excellent coffee! Great music in the background and super friendly service. Would come here everyday!!!

Dominic is a great host, very professional and great to chat with. The staff are awesome as well. The coffee is fantastic, the atmosphere is perfect for working with large tables and quiet music.
