Loved the vibe in Lalies, Super chilled out!
Great selection of pastries and coffees. Cinnamon hot chocolate was the best.
The chocolate chip cookies are massive🇿🇦
Vegan, gluten free homemade soups and pickled veggies- so good!
Will be back!

Stopped in for an Americano coffee and to sit outside patio. The weather was great and they were very busy. I waited for the crowd to go through before I headed in to place an order but needed to secure my dog outside.
Placed my order and waited outside for my coffee. It was busy day and the barrister mentioned that she will bring it out to me so I can attend to my dog outside.

The Americano coffee was great, very strong for a morning drink to get you going. Spent a little time enjoying the day and watching the day to day throughout the the towns streets.

Overall a nice spot to sit and enjoy a coffee.

An early morning coffee run turned into a fabulous tasting chai latte and a cherry danish, and just out of the oven orange cranberry muffin, which was absolutely delicious I would highly recommend

I had an amazing experience the stuff was amazing, great atmosphere and the food sooo good they have the best charcuterie!

This cozy coffee place has left the best impressions! Amazing ambiance, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, super sweet host and wonderful baked goods. I tried their Quiche , turmeric latte and cappuccino. The Quiche is the best I have had so far. I visited this place on my way to Montreal ditching the Port hope OnRoute and I am so glad I stopped here. Will definitely stop by every time I am around. Keep up the great work Calvin and team.

Such a quaint cafe, with an assortment of South African and Cobourg decorative pieces. The staff are friendly and the pastries are made fresh in house. There is a ton of seating options, from couches to 2-seater tables and tables for whole families. The staff ars very friendly, and the succulents and leaf coasters really bring it all together.

Absolutely wonderful cake for our event. It was enjoyed by all. Thanks Lalies! Amazing service from ordering to the last bite!

What a wonderful cafe with lots of seating and this peach danish was so yummy. The new renovations are stylish with the historic tie ins like an original table and frames from this buildings theatre days. Check it out.

I visit Lalies often and have had a great experience EVERY time! Everyone is so welcoming and the food and coffee are fantastic. I love that Lalies has become such a great local hub. I look forward to my next visit ❤

Lalies is such an awesome spot and the best addition to downtown cobourg! Not only can you stop in for any of your caffeine cravings, they have excellent and unique food options and their own line of specialized condiments/gourmet sauces - their sweet heat candied jalapeños are an absolute staple in our household! Most recently, I’ve tried their new sesame chicken wrap and it was such a generous, filling portion and ofcourse super delicious! It came with a lovely side salad with spinach and berries and it fed myself and my two little ones, we all left with very happy bellies! Should also mention that the staff are incredibly kind and go above and beyond to make your experience a wonderful one - my 3 year old ordered an apple cider and the lady working offered to make it at a perfect warmth so that he could sip away safely on it without risk of burning himself, which was so appreciated ☺

visited for the first time for a drag show! It was fantastic. I pre-ordered a charcuterie board for my husband, and he loved it. He also had a few different cocktails and enjoyed those very much. The atmosphere was amazing and the staff were so kind, even fixing our slightly wobbly table! I hope to visit again, soon!

I had a custom cake made for my husband's birthday and am beyond satisfied with how decadent and well made the cake was for such a reasonable price! The barista was very kind as well. Definitely will go back.

I, and one of my sons, enjoyed quite possibly the most exquisite grilled cheese sandwiches here. We had a wonderful time and visit at Lalies with our Cobourg friends and family!

Lalies does a really good job at paying homage to the Dutch Oven but with a bit of an update. Great place to grab a light quick bite to eat.

They have their own coffee blends that pay homage to the history of the space. Particularly the "Bombay" Cycling club.

Ambeince is really nice. Really loved the food and cozy vibe .

We got 4 different salads today and they were fantastic. Good portions, fresh ingredients (and no skimping on the best stuff!). Lovely atmosphere, adorable patio, great conversation with staff - couldn’t ask for a better new addition to downtown. I will be back for sure!

Food and prices are well within expectations. However, the service is lacking.

Stumbled across this lovely spot this morning.
Coffee was delicious and would have bought one of their amazing looking pastries if I hadn’t already been to the market.
Was very interesting getting the history behind the spot from the owners daughter. Only been open a week and I wish them great success. We will be back for sure. ❤

I can't thank The Dutch Oven enough for their fantastic catering at my wedding!

Lauren was a dream to work with throughout our entire wedding planning process. When covid hit and we had to drastically change our wedding plans, and therefore our catering, she was right there to support us in any way she could. She came up with the genius idea of serving personal boxed lunches at our wedding so everything was super safe. We had SO many compliments on our wedding lunches!

They were wrapped beautifully, and she and her team put so much thought into the menu. They were also really accommodating with allergies and sensitivities. I can't imagine our big day without Lauren and The Dutch Oven!

The sandwich and butter tart I had was excellent. The space is beautiful, with lots of tables inside and outside. So glad there’s a cafe downtown open past 4pm.
