Critical Hit Gaming Lounge

Really enjoyed our visit earlier today. We only visited for a coffee on the patio and ended up staying for lunch as the menu looked so fantastic. Their burgers are super tasty. The owner and his wife were incredibly friendly and took their time to explain their various other activities. We really enjoyed our visit and will go again for sure… probably on quiz night.

I was in the area needing lunch and decided to stop here and try it for some grub.

As soon as you walk in there is a large selection of board games that I assume you can use!

There is plenty of parking and a wide selection of food that is written with chalk very beautifully. One of the owners was taking the orders. I told him I was a burger connoisseur and needed help with my selection. He was right on top of it explaining not only the different burgers ingredients but that all of the meat is locally sourced as well as the buns are from a local bakery. I eventually ended up with the firelord burger.

I wasn’t sure if I was allowed to sit down and eat without playing a game or joining one but they were more than welcoming. I grabbed the table in the back and Watched some other customers play Warhammer (i believe) There were quite a few games going at the time but the place was relatively quiet and everyone was very respectful of the game. Some music came on that seem to go along with the theme of the gaming

My Burger Came piping hot and with it came my Cajun fries that I ordered. I cannot decide what I liked better the fries alone were delicious plus the Cajun seasoning and the burger was huge and full of toppings it didn’t have a lot of sauce but it definitely didn’t need it. I could barely get the whole thing down in one sitting.

Overall it was clean, friendly and welcoming. I had a great experience and would highly recommend this place whether you’re grabbing some food or playing a board or fantasy game!

Went on a Friday eve (around 5) and stayed until 9pm! Took my friends kids (almost 7 and almost 9) - we had a blast.

The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help - they either know exactly how to play a game or can quickly figure it out. True game masters!

The food was like “canteen” style but was decent enough. We had pizza, chips with salsa and cheese, a milkshake and a chocolate bar. Kids were happy, that’s for sure!

We were able to play 3 full games and about half of another game that we ended up not loving (Mario Monopoly).

4 hours really flew by and it was a great environment to learn new games in. It got a bit busier towards 7:30-8 - but the groups are quiet and playing away amongst one another.

This is such a great spot to bring kiddos - would highly recommend if you have a kid who likes to play games. When I called to ask if it was kid appropriate they mentioned there are busier nights (I think Wednesday was one??) so maybe call before you want to go to ensure there isn’t an event on the day you’re going - otherwise I think you’re good to just walk in.

Prices were good - the gaming fee is waived if you spent $15 or more per person on food - which we did for sure.

The interior was really nice too - felt very chalet-like.

Awesome place to hang out with friends or family playing all sorts of board games , D&D aswell as TCG tournaments & much more. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Had a great time enjoying the atmosphere. Thanks for having me guys !

Such a great place to play board games and others. I go every Wednesday night for Commander night (MTG) and it's been a fantastic experience. The staff are great and the customers are even better. 10/10 would recommend to anyone that wants to get into TCG games or board games with friends.

We came here on Saturday with a group for Trivia. The owner Dom, did a great job and was very engaging. He took the time to chat with us at the end of the night to tell us about the Trivia and different events that go on there. The owner is a small business and believes in other small businesses and adamantly promotes them. There is a beer and food selection here along with a huge selection of board games...great place to spend a few hours on a rainy Saturday evening.

Here for a tournament, warhammer 40K. 15 tables. Spacious. Great setting. Doesn’t smell bad. Food is good.

Super place! For everyone who loves games. Whether you want coffee, milkshakes, floats, soft drinks or beer and liquor drinks. This is a great place to spend a evening with friends! Food is great as well.

Snacks and meals were great! Family & young kid friendly atmosphere. Place is super clean. Teen boys loved it, should plan for a few hours or more. Great selection of board games to use.

Dom and his amazing team set up a very fun and engaging staff winter party for me and my colleagues. They closed the location just for us and ensure we were well fed and entertained. Loved the trivia questions and the availability of board games and social spaces. Thanks team for a great party, hope to do it again!

An incredible place I've been visiting weekly for well over a year. Always treated like a good friend and always shown a good time playing whatever card/board game of choice either with returning guests or my own friends. Could not recommend more!

The owner and team at critical hit gaming Lounge are amazing. Started going here last summer for Dungeons and Dragons and I have been going back every week since. The staff is amazing, customer service is amazing and timely. The food is great and they roast all their coffee. Some of the best coffee I have ever bought! So happy to be coming here each week. They treat their customers like family and are always there to help and make everyone comfortable.

This is a great spot. The owners are absolutely amazing. The food is really delicious too. Fantastic atmosphere. They have great events that they run very well.

My only suggestion is if you’re looking for a full meal you are going to wait a long time. We have been 4 times and every time we have had to wait at least an hour for our meals. We have also had to clear our own tables and hunt our server down for water or coffee. So maybe pregame and eat a snack before going or bring your patience!

They are always super busy so that’s a good sign!

Went for a Lorcana tournament and the staff were well organized and knowledgeable. The space was very nice, clean, and well ventilated. The women's bathroom was nicely kept throughout the day. However, it made me nervous to see food and drinks next to cards since there were no restrictions for it.

There were three large tables for Warhammer and some extra bins of settings for those who need it.

They served food as well which was good! The Cajun fries were probably the best. They had a tournament menu which was understandable. Food came out as quickly as it could for 1 chef. It'd be nice if they had another chef come to help on tournament days. Overall I would come back for another tournament.

I came here for the nerdy warhammer stuff, drove up from london for a little tournament. Everyone one was super chill and will come again. Thank you

This place is awesome. Super friendly staff, specifically the owner who gave incredible customer service. Made us feel at home. Beer is great, and I had to try the milkshake which was ludicrously good. Definitely coming back. My party and I had a blast playing some hilarious games. I will definitely come back and I couldn't recommend it more if you're into having some brews and ripping some board games with friends. 5/5

I play D&D here weekly. Large selection of board games. I like that they have made their menu smaller and priced more reasonably. When I'm playing games I would rather have small snacks and drinks over full meals.

Been a patron since 2019. Watched this place go from a basic set up with a lot of space for gamers to game to a sophisticated cafe hybrid. I was worried Critical Hit wouldn't survive the Lockdowns due to authoritarian dictators, but the owners took a chance and rolled a d20 with their expansion into Greenwood Cafe.
Love the atmosphere, staff, food and the other gamers at Critical Hit. I don't know what I'd do without their presence.

Went here for my husbands birthday with a bunch of friends. Had great time!
-The owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating
-They had a big selection of boardgames to play and would often give recommendations. Even bringing a couple to our table and saying they think we would enjoy it.
I really enjoyed a card game called cockroach poker that one employee recommended.
- The food and drink was very good, I liked the Troll King burger and a couple of local beers that they had, and their sangria pitchers were a hit at the table.

We had lots of fun and we will definitely go back sometime.

Went for Halloween Trivia last night. We had a great time. Food was great, and beer was good. It was a busy time, and Dom and the staff were very personable with everyone. Questions were fun and the costume contest was a hit!

We'll be back for end-of-the-month trivia and will spread the word.
