Lots of neat items here, fun talking to owner Chris who knows a lot of history about Kingston. Nancy found a couple of cool mugs, one by local artist Joanne Gervais.

Good maple syrup ice cream, it's a cute souvenir shop. There was free ice tea sample, a refreshing treat for a hot summer afternoon. They also had these nice local art post cards

This place is amazing and a gem in Kingston. The owners are very helpful and very engaging.

With a lot of the standard gift shops that have closed in town it’s even more important now than ever to have a presence like GBC around. Their items are very well sourced from many local areas. I was planning to get some generic items from another store and have them delivered to my parents when I found out about GBC through Google and Facebook. They have a great collection of boutique cookies, jams, chocolate covered snacks, pasta, sauces, etc. and the prices are also really good! I paid less than 50$ for 6 (several boxes of cookies, jam, and chocolate covered pretzels and ginger) items with a gift box and wrapping, with the delivery and friendly service.

On top of that, the owners will gift wrap your stuff and personally deliver to the recipient in a very timely manner. I’m definitely going to use this store again. Just a tip to whoever is looking, this is a much better option than edible arrangements or flowers or cakes from retail stores.

What a breath of fresh air this business and these people are. Couldn't be more friendly or supportive as we accumulated some terrific items for a gift box. Offering us a complimentary coffee and conversation while they put the package together for us was the icing on the cake. Customer service as it used to be

Lovely little shop with a lot of Kingston/local items that are great for tourists. The staff is always very friendly here, even giving me the history of the town crier when I first came to kingston.

They have a nice selection of fudge, teas, and ice-cream.

We visited this gem of a store today while in Kingston. The store is really charming and the owners wonderful! They were incredibly helpful and shared a couple of stories while we were exploring. It is a must visit place when you’re in Kingston. We already can’t wait to go back!

What a great store! They have so many treasures inside - delightful souvenir type items with or without the city name on them (trivets, mugs, coasters, etc). They also have beautiful china mugs, lots of deli type food items, a huge variety of K cups, socks, aprons, tea towels, and many other great gifts for yourself or family or friends. Oh, I forgot the Kawartha ice cream during the summer season. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful.

I was heading back to Ottawa from Toronto and decided to break up my drive and visit Kingston. I ventured in to this quaint little establishment and was glad to see a lot of local products and beautiful indigenous products. The owner, Cindy, knew the names of the art on the wallets and travel wallets and the stories behind them. She even offered me a coffee as I browsed. Love this type of store that supports Canadian Native small artists and unique products at fair prices.

Lovely owners to interact with both husband and wife I believe. They have the best souvenirs that are hard to find in the GTA area and very unique ones too.
Also, there are a variety of ice creams so please do visit here if you're dropping by this summer or any season I'm sure you'll have a warm welcome! :)

I love this place. Cindy and the other owner, not sure what his name is yet, are pleasant people and accommodating. They have delicious homestyle food like shepherds pie, pulled pork sandwiches etc. K cups, gourmet desserts meats and cheeses, ice cream - you name it, you can get it here. I come here a few times a week for my lunch breaks and always leave smiling.

Amazing store - I’ve placed orders through their Facebook page and they have shipped to us on the West Coast without hesitation. I make sure to tell family and friends in the Kingston area to check out this awesome store! Quality products at reasonable prices and very friendly service! You won’t be disappointed!!!

September 13, 2017. Great lunch and a very personable young man, Brian, serving. Apart from nice freshly made sandwiches of local produce we heard a little bit about the history of the store and where the name came from. Some of the preserves and jams on sale had interesting names - Toe Jam, and Middle Aged Spread - great gift ideas. We would go again.

Had a bit of difficulty locating this place as they had moved next door from their original location.
Once I did it was terrific...what a selection of coffee pods and lots of other goodies like frozen food, deli and chocolates.
Great find, one stop shopping!
