Bread x Butter Cafe Burnaby

Visited on weekday afternoon for a simple lunch with my friend. We were curious about this small and clean restaurant and the menu on the window shelf looks tempting. So we decided to give it a try. And we weren't disappointed!
Ordered the BC Beef Burger & Beyond Meat Burger, the ingredients taste fresh and flavourful. Except the buns of the burger were a little bit dry, says my friend. the patty was juicy and the seasoning was great, not too salty so we can taste the original flavour of the ingredients.
We absolutely love the fries, it's crispy on the outside but tender and soft when biting down, and it's freshly made so it's still warm after we finished the burger. The ketchup and tartar sauce might be homemade I'm not sure, but it definitely tastes different than the commercial one. Usually I don't use too much ketchup for the fries, but I finished all the ketchup that day.
Would like to visit again soon, cause I want to try out some other things on the menu.

I ordered an avocado-me egg breakfast sandwich and a soy matcha latte. I was pleasantly surprised! The sandwich was loaded with a layer of soft avocado, scrambled eggs and a slice of cheese. I really liked the texture and the taste. The bread was fresh and lightly toasted :) would definitely recommend!
The matcha latte was very good too! I could actually taste the matcha and see the some matcha powder on the bottom. As a matcha drinker I would get this again.

Had the avocado egg toast and truffle mushroom egg toast via uber eats. Damn that was 👍 gooood

We ordered the prawn star egg toast, chicken sandwich and salmon bagel. Love them, especially the egg toast! The bagel is even better than some expensive fancy brunch place. The sandwich is only okay though. Also, the americano is not bad but a bit cold (I ordered hot)
Will come back for sure to try other items (wish they open longer)

Tasty sandwiches, affordable prices. This is a great local joint to get that breakfast sandwich and coffee fix.

Breakfast sandwich is amazing. I have it for breakfast and sometimes for lunch.

It was a great experience for me, both the service and the food, I think it was great. It is a good choice for eating breakfast and bruch.

Their egg blankets are really good, we really enjoyed them! It's a nice bite-sized place for lunch or brunch... though their drinks aren't the best in my opinion. The cafe has very limited seating, but parking is easy, with street parking and across from Metrotown.

Good coffee. Star here is the egg sandwich, I don’t believe anything else really stands out on the menu.

Had takeout so can't say much about the argument but the Luau egg toast and Mushroom reg toast were delicious!
