Amazing! I went to Norms Esso for several car repairs on my ol' SUV and every time I had a great experience. From the customer facing interactions, to the quality of the repairs themselves, and the price point I was never disappointed. They are incredibly fair in their pricing and never up-sell additional work beyond reason. They always chatted with me before proceeding with any repairs to ensure I would be happy with the work. If you're looking for a local business to get vehicle repairs done... this is the spot!

These guys are awesome! It's hard to find a good mechanic these days, even harder to find an honest one. You get both here. I had a major brake issue and a tight timeline to get it fixed, and even though they were slammed, they still got it done fast. Plus, they found some warranty for the damaged parts, which saved me a bunch of money. I highly recommend you take all your vehicles here for service. Thanks again, guys!

Great mechanics and great people to deal with. Always respectful and transparent. I like that they always let you speak with the mechanic who did the actual work. They've often found me cheaper (and safe) work arounds to avoid big, unnecessary repairs.

I was visiting Guelph on November 30, 2023, and got a flat tire. I tried a couple of places near me, but they both said, “sorry, we’re too busy to help you”. My daughter-in-law suggested Norm’s Esso. I went there and they were very busy, but said they would do their best to help me. Thanks to Brian and James, I was out of there in an hour, with a fully repaired tire, and new wiper blades. Thanks guys! What great service! I highly recommend Norm’s Esso!

Norm's Esso is one of the only remaining full service gas station / garage / convenience stores located in Guelph. It is easy to get to as situated downtown on Surrey St.
Aside from garage services, and full gas pumping service, Norm's Esso was nominated and awarded an Accessibility Award in 2016 for the ways in which their business practices benefit the city. Recognized for their provision of full service to people of all capabilities, their high standards of service delivery, and for the consistency of their efforts, the award was well earned and well deserved.
Whether it is having your windows wiped while your gas is being pumped by an attendant, or getting an honest diagnostic in the garage, the city and its abundance of loyal patrons all echo the same sentiment: this place is great and the service is consistent - no matter the issue.
We make every effort to only fill up at Norm's and encourage everyone to take their business there.

I want to express my gratitude to Corey and the staff of Norms Esso. The customer service has always been a welcoming one. I needed to top up the air in my tires but unfortunately the caps on the valves were stuck. Without hesitation, one of the guys came out and help remove the caps. And than top up my air in all 4 tires! They have always looked after all my services regarding my vehicle. Thank you for all you do 😊

Great service team. So well run. Whoever it was that went above & beyond to put the proper amount of air psi in each of my tires & reset my psi sensory for my 2016 white chevy malibu today, I appreciate ya! Want to thank Corey and the staff at Norms for their great service yesterday. We had a problem with our engine block, and Corey made sure we were taken care of, and not taken advantage of! Trustworthy and did not do any extra or unnecessary work. They secured our trust for sure.

Norms has trustworthy and friendly mechanics that care about providing high quality service. They are focused on fixing the problem at hand, not adding a bunch of unnecessary services for an added cost. The mechanics take the time to explain what they’ve fixed over the phone or when you pick up the car. The team at Norms is efficient, personable, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who’s looking for reliable service.

The fact that this is one of the few “gas stations” that will still pump your gas is indicative of the great customer service you will experience from Judy, Brian and their staff. Keeping their dads tradition of taking care of people by taking car of their cars, you won’t find a better group of people. I recently needed a flat tire repaired so I could still make an appointment.

In and out quickly, made my appointment and felt like I was well taken care of the whole time!

The customer service is really above and beyond. Our car broke down in their parking lot (as we were filling our tires) and they stayed late to get us back on the road quickly. Thorough and kind.

Fantastic, full-serve gas station. The gentlemen who fill up your gas are very polite and they will even help you with things like filling up your tires. They've worked on a couple of my cars and they are very good for service. Fair price and good work, will continue to give them my business as long as I live in Guelph.

Norm's Esso is one of Guelph's few remaining full service gas stations, as well as an extremely experienced automotive service centre. I have stopped by Norm's many times for fuel and have been delighted by the efficiency and convenience of the gas pump attendants. I have also had my pre-owned vehicle certified by the mechanics at Norm's with great success. The team did an excellent job of going above and beyond my expectations while completing the work on my vehicle in a timely manner. I am impressed by this establishment's knowledgable technicians, friendly reception staff, and reasonable prices.

I witnessed an amazing display of professionalism, teamwork and honest work. When a delivery truck arrived, everyone helped without even being asked, they all had smiles on and seemed very happy at work. For my repair, it was an extremely fair and timely repair. I would recommend Norm’s to anyone.

I have been taking my car to Norm's Esso since 1996 and have not once been disappointed! They have been great at finding low cost alternatives when appropriate but have also let me know when it was my car's time to visit the great scrap yard in the sky. I 100% trust them and their advice. All of my local family also take their vehicles to Norm's.
