I am not the smartest when it comes to screws or metrics but thank goodness for Gord at this Home Hardware location! He was so kind and helpful, got me in and out of that store in 2 minutes. Thanks a bunch!

This is a good building center. As far as I’m aware this is the closest place to the south end of Guelph that sells lumber.

Inside it’s the biggest home hardware location in Guelph. With the largest collection of hardware, paint, tools, and other supplies.

Unlike most of the box store building centers, the staff here are generally more knowledgeable about the products. The shipping staff are great too.

Prices for most things here are reasonable. Worth coming here when you are working on a project.

I always get THE best service at JL's Home Hardware, and lucky for me, James is usually working, and is so helpful, knowledgeable and kind. Sometimes I am shopping for something I really don't know much about, but with James' help, I always feel confident walking out knowing how to use the tool I just purchased. Very helpful. I called with a question on 6x6 p/t and specific stains The rep filled me in and asked other reps there about my questions as well so by the time i arrived at the store there was lots of input. Two young lads loaded my truck for me - hammered in a flag and I was good to go!

The nicest, friendliest staff. Not to mention the amazing deal I got on a cement mixer that was hundreds of dollars cheaper than anywhere else.

Not to bore everyone with the details of our issue, but the great people here helped us solve our problems. The results are beyond our expectation. Paul in particular spent so much time patiently guiding us through the steps, supporting us in every way. So many other associates stopped by and chipped in too. Honestly best customer service ever. Exceeds all expectations.

Great customer service, prompt service, easy to navigate, clean, organized store! The staff is educated. It's not far from my house, so it's convenient for picking up small orders here and there! Always pleased when I go in. When I was in this last trip, not only did I have a VERY helpful gentleman, I had to confirm with someone that the size difference on the item would work for the planned project. As I was leaving the store, he was outside helping a customer & he briefly stopped to make sure that what I got was going to be ok! Now that is customer service!

Mel at the paint desk is amazing. She's knowledgeable and helpful. She's helped us on a number of projects that turned out great! I will keep shopping here for sure.

They had the product I needed and without hesitation price matched it to Peavey mart

Amazing customer service. Had 3 offers of help as I walked through, on a Saturday afternoon, 3 weeks before Christmas. All were helpful and provided solid assistance. Even the cashier was cheerful. My only complaint was that 3 home decor items I was interested in had no price. However, their home decor section is one if my favourite. Please price those beautiful pictures and plaques!

The store is clean and bright and the customer service is top notch. Paul in customer service was very helpful in my recent purchase of a snowblower. The two guys who delivered the snowblower the next day were very helpful and friendly as well. I will be doing more shopping for my household needs here in the future. I highly recommended this store.

The staff and delivery driver were friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. During this stressful time of covid, the staff maintained high quality customer service and our experience of ordering over the phone and having delivery for some larger items and pick up for smaller items was flawless. Marjorie is outstanding. She assisted me with decking information and was very helpful with her suggestions and questions. Clone her, she’s the perfect employee. Every time I walk into the store I am greeted with a smile. As I walk through to the back whoever I pass greets me. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Curbside and online orders as per normal, but the staff are willing to come outside their door on a chilly day to help you get what you need. Very courteous and professional staff here considering the covid clampdown.
