Dunning-Foubert Elementary School

We were so scared to send our son to DFES after reading all reviews .
Its been second year in the school now and I am taking this time to leave my opinion.
We are absolutely in love with the school. Really impressed with the staff- principal mr.Latour, vp ms.Sharma, teachers - ms.Corbell, ms.Davis, mme Riopelle are making my son feel home at school. They are always in touch and ready to help us.
Now with the remote learning during pandemic its so important to keep our kids active and teachers are doing a great job.
Thank you very much for all your efforts.

I graduated from this school in the early 1990’s, I remember having such wonderful and helpful teachers (ie. Mr. Max Mosion). The years that I spent at this school are very memorable and special ones.

I attend Dunning Joubert E.S when I was I kid and love school and teachers. Great memories of all my DF friends and miss them dearly.

Meh, I went there before and it was just not good or bad. But when you go there and get beaten up by a random person, the teachers don't mind, but at least sometimes they tell them to stop them. The school didn't mind cleaning the WHOLE washroom, they just cleaned the floor and that's it. The principal wasn't that bad, strict but friendly. The teachers are good and strict. The school could've added the second floor because there were not enough classes and added an extra BIG office because there were so many kids who got in trouble. I'm really aware of something, that you'll go to the office for 2+ hours. I am not sure if I recommend this school or not.

Ngl I’ve been going to this school since i was 4 and it isn’t that bad its just some vice principals do not care about what u did its what happened to the other person like if someone punch’s u and u punch back u get in trouble like what 💀

This school began the decline of my life as a foster home youth. This school was horrendous, understaffed, underfunded and overall trash. This school hindered my learning, and the teachers are underdeveloped in curriculum knowledge and don't know how to teach. I graduated from this school in 2019, and still to this day I regret going here, despite it against my will. I had tried to come out as transgender on my first day to use my chosen name, only to be told that I won't be allowed because there was "Another student with that name" despite there being two other students with the same other name. The bullying that festers in this school that is never touched on or called out on by any faculty is horrendous. This school was hell.

The teachers are very arrogantly rude and offensive. Do not care about anyone's well-being. Refuse to send kids to guidance counselor when they needed it. The principal sets a terrible example by wearing too much eyeliner and looking like an "emo", as well as forcing children who come to her for help to sit in her office for 2+ hours before telling them off. Vice-principal needs to attend therapy for extreme anger (yelling at children will not work, scare tactics aren't getting you anywhere). Everyone who is now graduated is either a self-absorbed donut, a "punk" style smoker, or a brilliant child who has been traumatized by the awfulness of this school and is now in need of the help they were never given there. Ever since 2012 the school has been going rapidly downhill in quality. There's a reason that less than 400 students attend this school; many parents were appalled by incidents that occurred and pulled their children out.
The some teachers are rude and my class are bad and the vice principle kinda rude, today my class didn't earn Kahoot tomorrow because my classmates are talking and didn't finish marking the whole pages of "LÉ MÉTIS" some of the replacement teachers are rude too.

Very bad school the principal has no respect for the students and they hate when u have to go to the bathroom like what I am a human I have to go to the bathroom and the bathroom ugh there so gross and 8th graders smoke vapes in there and it just gross and the teachers don't even care that they smoke in the bathroom don't go here!

My childhood school. Walked out the door at 5 years old because I missed my mom. Was gone for several hours, no one realized i was missing. That was in kindergarten, in first grade a fellow student decided i needed to die for a reason that was never known to me. His name was Blake. I was in the principles office at least twice a week all year. My parents were never informed. This was a horrible school.
