Hole in the Wall Restaurant

I ordered the grilled veg bread with Thai coconut soup, my partner ordered pizza and salad. Omg it was amazing! I really enjoyed the restaurant that was at this location previously, called Lucky Italiano, so I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy this “hole in the wall”. However, the service was lovely, the food was delicious, and we sat on the beautiful patio.

It was for a birthday celebration dinner. Despite we did not have a reservation, we were warmly welcomed and served.
Service was quick and food delicious (highly recommend the lobster dip 😉)

We were checking restaurants in Windsor online and came across the Hole in the Wall. Well definitely glad we decided to check it out. The service was very friendly, really great waitress. The food was so delicious! I had the lobster dip, piping hot and an assortment if dippers. My daughter who can be fussy about food, had the maple chicken pizza. She loved it. Shared a dessert, great! Highly recommend.

Update: I've gone there for lunch a couple times this summer. Lunch specials are now $15 which is reasonable and there are lots of delicious options. Lots of personal pizzas and a few sandwich selections with a cup of soup. I had the Tom Kha last time and it was delicious but everyone was raving about the cauliflower gruyere so I had to try that today. Both were equally good and very craveable. Today I tried their half chicken pesto club and it was also very good. The focaccia is so fresh and the pesto is not overpowering. It was very filling.

Service has always been good for me here and the special came out quickly.

This part of my review is from 2020 - note, they no longer have jalapeno for the pizza and the pizza has increased in price, but is still very reasonable.

We popped in here to take out at lunch today. A personal Hawaiian pizza with jalapeño at $10 and side garden salad for just $3 extra. I loved the pickled onion and smidge of goat cheese on the salad. The pizza was so good. Pleasantly spicy with a hint of sweetness from the pineapple. I'm so pleased they have some great specials for lunch time! Personal pizzas, soup and salad, sandwiches, lots of options! I highly recommend.

Amazing pizza with an interesting variety. Loved it. So did my kid. Very nice people.

Tasty foods and accommodating staffs. The patio setting was great and nice but I can't handle the coldness when we eat there yesterday. This will be an awesome outdoor spot for summer and in general I gave 5⭐👍.

Delicious food and the wait staff were very nice and attentive. The deck itself is lovely but it's not in a very scenic spot.

We got the mussels, seafood linguine, and lobster Alfredo and peanut butter pie. Everything was unreal! Will definitely be back.

All were great best pizza ever. Definitely better than any pizza place in halifax.

Oh my gosh, this place is amazing. So delicious :) We had the apple Pecan crostini, the Prosciutto and Caramellized Onion pizza, pad thai, and the Creme brulee. All dishes were delicious, and service was great.

Great spot, lives up to the name with a cute and cozy interior, and they have a nice outdoor patio with heaters and blankets available. The menu has a bit of everything, but a focus on Italian food with seafood flair. Rotating specials for the pizza and pasta options means you'll be able to try new things even if you are a regular here. I had the Buffalo chicken pizza with house made ranch, and my partner had the ginger soy mussels with a cup of their seafood chowder. Neither disappointed, and you could taste the quality in the dishes. Highly recommend for a date night or a pleasant sit down meal.

Another exceptional experience at Home in the Wall, where our table of 6 recently celebrated a 90th birthday.

Jeanette's service was spot on - great timing, great care, great attention to our every need and friendly and fun as well.

Chef Renée prepared all dishes exceptionally deliciously and presented them beautifully. We love the cozy atmosphere there and we delight in celebrating many special occasions at Hole in the Wall in Windsor.

Very delicious food. We had the butternbutternut squash soup, Tom kha gai soup, fungi pizza, Sheppards pie, and autumn salad with grilled chicken. Everything was delicious, and generous portions.

We needed a reservation for 6 for the next day's lunch. No Problem. The table was set up beautifully. The service was very professional and all food ordered was very good. One big note was it was the first Seafood Chowder I ordered on my trip...one of 6 I had across Nova Scotia west of Halifax thereafter.

I am saying this because the broth was outstanding compared to the other chowders I ate over 6 days. The taste just stood up above all others. You must try it.

An all around wonderful find this afternoon. It is beautifully decorated with friendly staff and the food was the best we have had in a long time. I can’t wait to go back and try the pizza or maybe the lobster dip!

What a new find. A friend and I stopped in to try it out this Windsor eatery. Very friendly staff, the chef even greeted us. Fantastic Mussels in wine appy, amazing Lobster Club House sandwich. My mushroom ravioli was so good, I did an order to go for dinner at home. TRY THIS PLACE.

Excellent first visit. Timely service and food the best. Our waitress Sue was awesome. Will definitely be back!
