Garden City Square Liquor Mart

I visited the store on November 3, 2023. Generally, the store is great. There was a short line in front of it, just a few people, so it took no more than 5 minutes to pass through the line. They have a wide range of different drinks, starting from beer and ending with elite alcohol. I was interested in wine and was looking for something to make mulled wine, so I asked someone to show me where I could find dry red wine that wouldn't break the bank but still tasted like good wine. The store employee suggested three different options ranging from $20 to $30 for a 1.5-liter bottle. I chose the middle option for $26 and wasn't disappointed.

Its only a liquor commission, but I was looking for a special type of wine . Wasn't sure where to look & asked the so helpful and knowledgeable staff member. She had showed me what I was looking for , explaining all about the wine itself and gave me options as well . Its actually really nice not having to go walk around looking for someone to help you out when you need it . Thankyou to the lady staff person that took the time to do that for me .

Unfortunately manitoba law does not allow returns at their liquor commission outlets any longer without receipt... unopened sealed bottles. So keep your receipt or keep your booze

All employees deserve a bonus to put up with what has been happening and still maintaining a cheerful demeanour. Also polite always helpful and eager to direct a customer towards a purchase that they are looking for . Prices are fixed because it’s Manitoba so not a lot of leeway on prices however they do have a special clear out section that you may get lucky with from time to time. Let’s face it alcohol can make even me get lucky from time to time,especially if the wife has had a few .

The staff here is great!!! This is a big store, so you shouldn't be shoulder to shoulder with other patrons.

Staff is always helpful, and we ordered our booze for the fundraising social we threw from here. They know their stuff and we only returned a couple bottles. Never been disappointed by any recommendations.
If you do order booze, trust their experience and recommendation.

Being kinda new to the neighbourhood, I found the McPhillips and Leila area very convenient, and filled with great shops. One of the great ones is the local liquor store. If I am looking for something special, there is always a staff member there to help me find it, even before I ask for help. When I have been unsure what I am looking for, but I just have an idea, the knowledgeable staff are able to make great recommendations. Well done!

Great customer service, clean, good product selection. Very nice change without the formal security personnel, who really did nothing for enhance image of additional protection.

The staff are always helpful and friendly and the product selection will fit almost any need or budget.

It was a busy night at this location and must say that despite the recent events at liquor marts, I felt somewhat safe with a security guard at the front entrance and a police officer at the exit. However, I wasn't so comfortable enough to browse as I usually do.

Great pricing for Manitoba. But please ppl. Bring back the sweetness rating and NO.l the alvohol content does not indicate if the wine is dry or sweet.
