Outstanding workmanship, 10/10 even on the shops "seconds". The quality of these knives is superior above all. I own a D.H. Russel which I think is a Canadian Staple that all should own. I recently visited the shop in person and bought a smaller pocket knife (2nd) aswell a kitchen knife (also a second) and off the bat the quality is there. Both these 2nds had only minor blemishes to the wood handle. Goes to show you that they hold quality above all. With Grohmann you get nothing but the best! Thank you for these heirloom pieces!

I have a No.1 Original design and a No.2 Trout and Bird and they are pretty much my favourite knives! Their unique shape makes them really great to use. The finish on the No.1 was a bit rough in a couple spots, which is expected with a hand made knife, but could have easily been corrected before the knife was completed. Still giving five stars because the knives are great (and i'm not petty). I'll be buying more in the future and will update my review accordingly. I'd recommend Grohmann to any hand made knife enthusiast who actually uses their knives like tools, not just art.

Amazing experience, bought a #3 seconds. Don't see anything wrong with it. Amazing quality, feels great in the hand and cuts like butter. The customer service is top notch, I requested a diffrent sheath in the notes but it was sent with the normal one. They offered to send a new one out postage paid.

I have recently bought three Grohmanns. Two for my sons and one for me. I’ve never owned a better knife.

Have had a DH Russell Trout knife for almost 45 years. Visited the factory here and asked if they could do a factory resharpen whilst we did the tour. Was asked to leave it for a few hours and come back. They gave my beloved belt knife a “Spa Day”! It was sharpened, metal buffed, rosewood handle polished and waxed. Wow. What service. Wish we had brought our even older knife along as well! Bought a beautiful chef’s knife on the way out as well.

My parents were given a Grohmann bread knife 38 years ago as a wedding gift. My entire growing up years we used the bread knife and it’s still being used at least weekly by my family. Over time, it had lost its serrations, and I wasn’t sure if it would be reparable or not. Thankfully, I took it in to Grohmann and they were able to fix it for much less than the cost of a new knife, and also saved this sentimental piece so that we can continue using it hopefully for many years to come. Almost every knife we own is from Grohmann - they make a beautiful product!

I own 7 of their knives, and have for over 20 years. I regularly sharpen them, and they're absolutely fabulous. A solid company and I've never had any troubles with any component of my knives. I highly recommend them.

Great store and wonderfully friendly staff. These knives have a great Canadian history and just feel like an extension of your arm. Get one if you can. This was for me the highlight of our trip to Nova Scotia.
