Le Beau Marché

Fromage for fromage lovers. Found great variety and local cheese. Made incredible fondue for New Year's Eve dinner. It's a special place. Definitely my go to spot from now on when visiting Montreal which we do often.

Le Beau Marche Is one of our favourite convenience stores when staying near Notre Dame West. They have a little of almost everything, even frozen canard confit, if you have cooking facilities where you’re staying.

In the mornings, they have fresh baguettes (traditional white and sourdough), sandwiches, coffee to go, among many other food items.

Sometimes they make a fabulous porchetta, which you can smell from outside the store, on the sidewalk. But they don’t cook this regularly, you would need to ask when or be lucky, you will never know when they would have it.

They have refrigerated deli items too like prosciutto, in case you’d like to bring home.

There’s seating outdoors (during the warmer months), painted yellow, adorned with flowers. Really quaint and fun!

BREAD PUDDING! Can't believe I forgot to take a pic to share...but it was so good. When I arrived at the store, there was no bread pudding in the display case. I asked, and the clerk said they had frozen...I asked for 3 pieces. So good! The reason they had frozen was that it isn't a big seller. Hopefully this will help to get them back in the display case. What I really love is that the bread pudding has pieces of pain au Chocolat that u taste...so good. Can't wait to return to Montreal to buy more.

Stopped by to get some cheese. The staff were really helpful in recommending local cheeses from Quebec that they had. The soft one (brie or camembert?) was delightful and the blue was great too. Also recommended a meat to go with them. Paired perfectly.

A new gem on Notre-Dame West

They just opened 3 weeks ago and their offering is already amazing. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Everything is fresh and high quality: pastries, desserts, bread, cheese, meat, produce, coffee, and more.

We stopped for a coffee and were pleasantly surprised by the extensive selection of fine cheeses, olive oil etc. We ordered a croque monsieur and ate outside on their terrace. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you, see you next time.

I only wish I had discovered this place earlier, they have all my favorite local foods & french brands. Fresh buckwheat galettes to make at home, cannelés, gluten-free lemon cake & madeleines (grocery, they make oats ones themselves), Favuzzi pastes and deli like general Tao chicken. Fruits & veggies, pasta, some well chosen crisps, you really wouldn't need a big brand supermarket nearby when walking in there with smiles.

Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere. Delicious croissants and a great selection of groceries and cold alcoholic drinks. Unfortunatley our Paris brest wasn't amazing and a bit dry, but nonetheless its still worth checking out, get there early to grab a fresh croissant before theyre out!!

Relatively expensive but a must visit if you are staying in Old Montreal. This is not your typical depanneur selling fast food, chocolate bars, and macro beer. Here, you will find fresh baked bread and sandwiches, (small) selection of fresh produce, good coffee, cheeses, meats, beer from small Quebec breweries, and other specialty grocery items.

So glad that this place was around the corner from my hotel. A lil shop to grab snacks, wine, sandwich, fresh bread. Employees are so nice and helpful. There’s some vegan items too. They also carry wine and a good variety of drinks. Definitely pop in if you’re near.

Great little place with an excellent selection of high-quality food items. Very nice and knowledgeable staff, the guy who helped me select coffee asked questions about my preferences, provided a sample, then custom ground my choice for French Press brewing ... the result is likely the best cup of coffee I've ever brewed myself ... Bravo!

Absolutely charming staff. They have very good ham and cheese sandwich I’m sure to be back.

Great bar here with a friendly bartender. Just don't walk out and into the dark alley across the road all by yourself 😏

This little grocery/deli was just around the corner from our hotel in Old Montréal. Since we had a kitchen in our room, we decided to make our own breakfast every day. Le Beau Marche had everything we needed and then some. The quality of the fruits, veggies, baked goods, and eggs is superior. We even took a couple of lives excellent sandwiches for our road trip home. Excellent place, very helpful staff.

Staff apologized for their poor English then gave recommendations in PERFECT ENGLISH. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Great produce.

My favorite luxury grocery store. Excellent fresh breads and awesome cheese supply. They have some nice Québec wine too, which I was surprised because I didn't expect a wine from Laval to be any good.

Loved their sandwiches and coffee. Cute little sit out space too. Decently priced.
