Safeway Kensington Calgary

Great grocery store! Fresh produce, but what I love here the most is the deli! They always have flights of cheese prepared and ready, trays of 3 kinds of cheese for $11.99 that you van pair with crackers and deli meat for a tasty snack or meal... Yum! The selection of deli meats at the counter is fantastic also, and cheaper than if you buy the deli meat prepackaged. Great place to visit even if just for the deli!

I don't always shop at Safeway, but this is the best one in Calgary. They carry some great products that the other locations don't seem to have. They also save the cardboard boxes from the produce section (very solid) for customers to use for packing groceries instead of plastic bags. I wish more places did this!

Clean, well organized store. A lot of parking is directly out front. Will definitely return if I'm back in the area.

Tim, that checked us out, gave us by far the most helpful and kind experience we've ever had at a grocery store till. Also, his grocery organizing/ packing skills are something that made my heart flutter! He managed this all with a smile & friendly banter while simultaneously handling a refrigeration service tech! This world needs more Tims. Garrison is our neighbour Safeway, but maybe we head a few extra minutes north more often now for our groceries?!

I like Safeway because it's a one-stop-shop for all of my grocery needs. The store is always clean and well-stocked. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the prices are reasonable. I appreciate that they offer a variety of organic and healthy options, as well as a great selection of international foods. The bakery is always fresh and delicious, and the deli offers a great selection of meats and cheeses. I also appreciate the convenience of their online ordering and curbside pickup service. Overall, I highly recommend Safeway for all of your grocery needs.

All the Christmas Delights

Very nice atmosphere. Clean store with well stocked shelves. Wanted to buy bread but a lot of it was baked 2 days ago so a bit disappointed there but overall good.

Always a sure bet shopping at Safeway. Even in Maui I chose to go to Safeway for their consistency in hours, their attentiveness to hot and cold food and the grab and go variety. It makes having lunch with a friend at the park a little extra meaning.

But on a real note, the Safeway is really great, nice staff always willing to help you find things, and quick cashiers working there too, lines are gone so fast, I swear I blink and 10 customers have been rung through. Amazing location for sure, was actually pretty shocked at how good they are considering their location.

Very nice, clean, well lit community grocery store. Staff are all very knowledgeable and very friendly. I always receive excellent treatment whenever I shop here. It is a medium size Safeway store, but still carries a very large variety of grocery items. One of the best things about this store is that is has a free underground, heated parking lot, so it is quite a pressure shopping here in the middle of winter for sure!

I Recently moved to the area and after trying out all the other grocery stores this one stands out in particular. Firstly the produce workers all seem to be in a good mood which tells me of a good work environment, also the produce manger has been seen twice by me making rounds. I have been greeted by an employee in the meat dept every time without having to wait and the quality of fresh cuts and fish seem above par from other retailers. Good job to everyone who has helped.
