It was my first time going there. The store is slightly big compared to other halal places I’ve been to, it has two floors and includes everything. You can get your meat and also shop for mediterranean food, canned food, spices and frozen food in the upper level. They also sell some kitchen tools/ housewares!
I had good customer service experience, the staff was friendly and helpful.

The manager of this shop is a very personable person

One of the best Halal meat shops in Vancouver-Burnaby area. Meats are fresh and the staffs are very good with the customers.

I am going to this store from many years. Specially their beef, veal, Goat, lamb are very good quality! I tried so many places but I love their quality of meat. Also their pots are really good, I bought two big pots and the quality is really good better than fruiticana or other places. Their customer service is really good, environment is really friendly. We are blessed to have them.

The customer service is excellent and staff are very helpful and friendly. Specially there is a young boy he’s very friendly.

Meats there are cheaper than other store i know. My go to store.

This shop is near to my house and I always go there for fresh meat.. Their WHOLE WHEAT PITA and other Fresh Tandoori Naan BREADS go well with our INDIAN Style curries.. Owner is polite and helps in suggesting the items.. He knows many things about my country and BOLLYWOOD which makes me feel proud and I feel like I am buying from my country's neighbors Kiraana store.. .. Blessed to have them around..THANKS a LOT.

A medium-sized halal (meat) shop with great customer service. You can also get other usual grocery items here like rice, sweets, dry fruits, cookies, frozen food, etc.

Good quality of meat, good prices and they're friendly. I always get my meat here, it's very fresh and I've had no issues at all, other than sometimes they give me more than I ask for. Last time I was there, I asked for 2 pounds and they packed me 2.5 pounds. It's ok, I understand that they can't be that accurate, but it's worth mentioning. I totally recommend this place.

Update: Continued amazing service. I called to reserve an order. They told me they cannot promise but they would try their best. And sure enough they did manage to save some meat for me during the busy times of Eid. :)

I went out on a limb to make a lamb tagine dish for the 1st time and thus needed pieces of lamb meat. The butcher recommended that I use lamb shoulder because it was most tender. I agreed and he cut it into pieces sized appropriately for lamb tagine.

The dish turned out great and so the next time I need cut-up lamb pieces, I will be back.

Hands down THE best Halal butcher in the lower mainland. Al-Salaam is very clean, well organized and always has stock of all their meats. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Even the way the meat is displayed shows that the owners take pride in their business. Al-Salaam is worth traveling from any corner of the lower mainland.

The meat is good. The owners are awesome but sometimes the customer service is a bit odd. Twice now I have guys look at me weird. I dont know if race have anything to do with it. I know few middle eastern folks can be racist towards black folks, eventhough the prophet said white is not better than black, nor is black better than white and Arab is not better than none Arab. It's the only store I've been looked at differently in canada, but I still go there because the meat is good and the owners and old staffs used to be awesome. But I'll recomend it because the meat is good

Love this place, always fresh meat, fine international food products and friendly customer service. Even if you're not buying anything it's worth to go in and discover products you will never find anywhere else. I'm always intrigued at the high quality food products they carry.

Been shopping here since I moved to Highgate. Great service and good food here. The staff are very friendly and will answer any question relating to the foods or culture. My favorite meat shop to got too. Best prices I have seen in the area.

Been their customer since they opened, and though I moved to the other side of the city, I prefer to shop here.The brothers that own the business are kind, respectful, and genuinely good folk. Meat and chicken always fresh and tender and great varied collection of Mediterranean groceries, cheeses etc. Alhumdolillah.

Fantastic butcher as well. My other favourite butcher. Excellent Veal and Chicken. Ofcourse they have beef. But the veal is fantastic as is the chicken. All very fresh. Lots of Persian specialty items such as Persian Yogurt & breads etc.
