DO NOT GO HERE. Went here to grab some snacks in February 2024. As I’m browsing the candy isle I have a couple bags of snacks in my hand (to decide which ones I want to get putting back the ones I didn’t want)
As I am browsing I am also waiting for my friend to come in from the car.
As the cashier was checking out other customers She ran from behind the desk accusing me of stealing. She grabbed my shirt and pulled my pockets.. revealing nothing.
I was wearing a light sweater no coat and didn’t bring my purse in so I just had my wallet. I pulled my sweater and shirt up to show this lady I haven’t taken a thing. She kept pushing and yelling at me with no proof of any theft. I left the store crying.

My friend that came with me got upset and told the lady that was assault, how I pulled my shirt up to show I didn’t take anything and how inappropriate that was. Her response was do you know how many people steal from here?

My friend proceeded to ask to see the footage of the supposed theft. Despite rewinding it and following my visit throughout the store on camera she couldn’t find me stealing anything. Despite screaming at me infront of an entire store and embarrassing me. Without even a an apology she tried brushing it off.

I will be taking this complaint to the better business bureau asap due to the treatment of said employee, this is unacceptable, it discriminates, is unprofessional and has officially lost a good handful of customers. I will also be reposting a review on Facebook and tagging the store detailing my experience.

I hope you guys can find a professional employee not one who lays hands on customers quite frankly I should have called the police however in my profession I know they would be a civil case. So in that respect with no where to send complaints too, this was my extremely negative experience at BRANT AVE CONVENIENCE
