My absolute favourite video game store. Grew up going to Microplay and now as an adult I still love it. You can buy new games but they always have my vintage stuff. PS2, Super Nintendo and N64. But of course I love the Nintendo Switch selection as well. Amazing staff that you can talk to about games and ask for recommendations. For anyone that likes to game this is where you need to go. I have been shopping here since I was a kid (I’m 36 now) when it was called Encore Games.

Very happy with the staff as always and my visits. This place is my go to for game releases. They also carry a wide range of other stuff like toys, collectable, tcgs me vintage retro games! I stop by at least once a few months to see what cool stuff comes in from trade ins.

Great place to go shopping for gifts, birthdays, or any special occasion.

Microplay’s been a big part of my gaming hobby and will continue to do so.

I really enjoy this store. Staff are top notch, super friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. Games selection and pricing is great. I will sooner drive across town to visit this store than other retailers of popularity for video games. Sometimes I go just to browse on my lunch hour and I’ll find a deal I’ll end up buying. Will always support Microplay Guelph and encourage others as well. The owner is a great guy and has passion for his customers and thier products.

Best video game store around. Super friendly staff, informed staff who care. Great stock. Extremely well organized store. Loads of stock but easy to maneuver. Always able to find what we're looking for. Staff care and take their time to help you. They don't just stand behind a counter and do nothing. It's a very welcoming environment for all. Hands down, best video game place we've ever shopped at. Competitive prices and great deals on used games as well. (Unlike certain other major chains stores who charge nearly the same for new & used).

Been shopping here for well over 20 years. The service has mostly been above par in that span. They are gamers that have great assistance for other gamers. Sure I have had a bad experience a few times, but that is with employees who do not keep their employment. Way better than EB Games!

Been coming here since I was a kid, can't see that changing. They have tons of anime figures in stock usually. Go get some games and plushies!

I have virtually zero knowledge about games or the devices they are played on. After visiting a few other stores and being frustrated by the lack of support from the staff I came here. I was absolutely thrilled with the service - they patiently walked me through all the different devices, the pros and cons of each, and helped me reach a decision. Super helpful, super friendly, definitely will return!

Ordered Xbox from here for Black Friday. Worth the drive from Kitchener. Adam and crew were great to deal with throughout the entire process. Was advised that an item that was ordered was incorrect, and a solution came to light really quick! Went to pick up, and bought some additional games. Got home and found that one game was for PS4. Again, Adam was great, and set aside the proper game for me. He wasn't there in the Sunday I went to exchange, but the rest of the staff was great as well on that visit!

They have a great selection of games often for a bit cheaper than the big retailers, also have an awesome selection of popular boardgames that you can't find easily like splendor and some cool Catan expansions.

Gone here for years great service and staff, will actually look up prices of current market value for buying and selling compared to other stores that assume they know everything.

The Microplay in Guelph is hands down the best place for anything video games! I've been going to Microplay since my early teens and I still haven't found a better place to buy my games. Great selection and even better customer service! The workers at microplay are both knowledgeable and supportive when it comes to which game to purchase! I would recommend Microplay Guelph over any gaming store around! Especially with the new curbside service. I appreciate all that the workers do!!!

My favorite game store in Guelph. I think its the only place to buy/sell and trade retro games in the city. Helpful and friendly staff always willing to assist you. Great selection of new and old games and systems as well as game related merchandise.

Love the place. They have great selections of all different types of games from almost every game console out there. Plus staff is very friendly and great to talk to about anything. The board and family games they have is amazing as well.

We're always happy with the selection, staff is always friendly & helpful as well. Love being able to find things that you can't find elsewhere! We found the PERFECT Morgana giant pillow type stuffy for our daughter's birthday there that we would have NEVER found anywhere else in Guelph! We can't wait to see her reaction!
