If I could give no stars then I certainly would. Today I bought a pop-up basin waste at Guelph DESCO. I asked the assistant for one with no overflow and he said he wasn't sure if he had one. He headed out back and returned a few minutes later with a box. He said to me 'This is the only one I've got". "Great" said I - I'll take it. I paid for the item and brought it home. I opened the box and got out the part which I then unwrapped ready for installation. As I went to install it I noticed it had an overflow and I clearly asked for one without. Although I was annoyed at having to return to the store to either exchange or have my money returned I accepted that this had to be the way forward.
I entered the store some three hours after initially purchasing the part. An older and angry looking woman came from the back and I explained what had happened. She then brought out the original assistant and they both began scowling at me and the original guy insisted that he'd told me it was the wrong part when he sold it to me. WHY WOULD I BUY THE WRONG PART?
Following more chuntering and scowling by himself and Mrs. Angry he told me that I'd installed it and wouldn't deal with me. He flipped his hand at me telling me to go away and said "Bye Bye.
I feel insulted, belittled and most certainly annoyed with the total lack of service and respect from these people. As a business owner myself, I am appalled at the service I received.
Obviously I'll take it up with the credit card company and I'm sure all will be resolved but having to deal with people like this just makes me wonder what sort of a world we live in. I hope the owner of this business reads this and reaches out to me. If he can't do that then I hope he reaches out to the two clowns in the store and offers them some training in customer service.
Never again will I use this company.

Sometimes you go into a trade specialty store and the staff are helpful and knowledgeable, this isn't one of those places. Oh how I miss Stan's plumbing!
