Great liquor store alternative to BCL. I would suggest removing the tip option from your debit machines, though. Please just pay your staff competitive wages rather than expect the customer to do it. 10% for scanning a bar code on a six pack while I tap my card? Umm, no.

Always excellent service at this location. Every staff member I’ve met have been super welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable! Special shout out to Hannah and Joaquin for always going above and beyond with their service!

Great selection of craft drinks, dog friendly, and really nice staff.

The customer service was fantastic. They had a bunch of wheat, hef and wit beer. I wanted a bunch of singles to try them and they broke open 4 packs for me and I could make my own 4 packs with a mixture. I got 8 different beer. I even was able to get a sample of the salted caramel crown royal yummmmm!! I will 100% be back!

Every time I go into this liquor store the staff are super friendly and helpful. The store is impeccably clean and they have pretty much any local or specialty item I’m ever looking for.

Today I went in and they took the time to assist me in finding beers to fit in a custom beer caddy with beers my dad would like (and would fit in the caddy). They were super patient and had great suggestions. Very knowledgeable about their products as well.

I am so happy I found this place in April. The selection is awesome! It's really great to be able to grab a nice table wine, local beer and try a new gin when the occasion hits. It is always busy so other people must know it's a gem. But even if the selection wasn't top notch I would still have to say that the customer service is! Hands down the friendliest staff in a liquor store I've encountered in the tri-cities. Oh! And they are above and beyond pet friendly. My dog had his picture taken and is on the kiosks at the front. He always loves the pets and treats too. This place has me going the extra kms past several other liquor stores to pick up any supplies I need and are well worth it.

Awesome selection of craft beers, many breweries are represented. Mostly local, though, but still. Reasonable selection of wine as well. Staff is pleasant and helpful. A lot of parking space around. Definitely a must go-to stop.

Great place to find new and unique beer/wine/cider/spirits. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, dog friendly and will even add a Pic of your pup to their wall of fame near their cash registers.

I highly suggest visiting this small but absolute gem of a liquor store.

Who went here to buy our liquor in Vancouver and I must say the help from the person behind the counter was very above and beyond. I am from Ontario and we do get help as well but this gentleman took really good care of us while shopping. For sure of five star out of five because they do care about their customers.

I'm a big fan of the JAKS stores!
First one I visited was in New West, where I lived for 3 years. They have since reno'd and expanded that location, so they now carry an even better selection of products.
I've also visited stores in other cities, and without fail... received outstanding service from all of the staff every single visit.
They're more than happy to permit my dog to tag along whilst I shop, and they've usually got a stash of doggie treats behind the counter.
Given a choice, I'd rather shop at JAKS than a BCL or another private store.
Whomever does the hiring knows for sure that your staff are the key to great business...and better sales.

I went in to buy vodka as I am making homemade vanilla to gift to my sister in law who is an excellent cook. I ended up having an inspiring conversation with a staff member who infuses her own gifts too. Was very buoyed by her enthusiasm and knowledge as this is my first time trying this.

The staff as Jak’s are always friendly and eager to help. I really appreciate their customer service and atmosphere!

Good prices and variety of brands. The associates are kind and helpful. I like spent some time looking for new brewers and why not some discounts...:-)

Such a great selection & super nice store

Always open late, the staff are positive, helpful, and always make you feel welcome. Maybe a tiny bit more expensive than BCL but more than makes up for it with great selection, layout, and convenience.

Some really great wines, spirits, and beers here. The staff are as friendly and knowledgeable as any place I've ever shopped. Absolutely my favorite place to grab a special bottle.

Talk about customer service! Right from the moment I stepped foot in the store..i've been acknowledged and asked if I needed any help! It is a smaller store compare to the big chains but the selection is way better! Will always come back to this chain!
