We stopped by this lovely, family run store to rent 2 paddleboards ($30 for 2 hours/person) on our way to the lake. The owners were so friendly and kind to be willing to drive us down and back up with the boards.

Easy to get snacks and emergency items if needed. Looking forward to coming back and thank you for the complimentary pens! 😊

I am head over heels for this store! It's an absolute gem. They've got everything you could ever need, from homemade sandwiches to all your snack cravings like chocolate and chips. Plus, they've got that perfect combo of essentials like eggs and pizza pops alongside fun extras like comic books. And don't get me started on their coffee from Nelson—it's a game-changer. But what really sets this place apart is the owners—they're the sweetest! Definitely swing by for any last-minute lake essentials or just to treat yourself to some goodies after a day of fun in the sun.

Rented a double kayak for 4 hrs. They were super friendly and accommodating. We called to return the kayaks an hour early and the owner brought us 2 drinks

Had a brilliant time. The owners of the shop are super friendly and nice. This shop is also the only supply store around Buntzen Lake. They have rental services and homemade sandwiches and ice-cream. I’ll definitely going to come back again in the future!

We rented kayaks for two hours and had a great time. It was $50 for each single kayak. We paid at the store and were given paddles, life vests, a safety kit (rope and whistle), and keys to unlock the kayaks. The kayaks and canoes are chained up on the left side of the beach (by the boat launch) under the trees so it was really convenient. When we returned, the owners gave us free sodas which was very kind of them!

I was so happy that they were open today.. after I drove my mom around Sasamat lake and Belcarra so beautiful? We ended up getting an ice cream cone 😋🍦

I absolutely love this store. They have everything from home made sandwiches, eggs, pizza pops, twix, coconut water, Korean snacks (honey butter chips!), comic books, and coffee from Nelson. The owners are so lovely. Check it out for any last minute items before or after the lake.

I rented a kayak here. Kayaks were in pretty good conditions. I asked the Korean owners about the bus option because I had parked my car early at 8 am and walked up the 2.3 km back (which took 20-25 min walk). They were nice enough to offer me a ride back to the kayaks!

Not a bad place to walk by. The prices are actually good. They have delicious ice cream and homemade sandwiches at good price. The owners greet us with smile and tried help us carrying kayaks. They also emphasized us to wear safety jackets and explained us how to enjoy kayaking.

It was a heart-warming experience and I'd definitely go back.
Two friends and I rented two kayaks here — one double and one single — along with paddles and safety kits. The store clerk was very helpful and specific about the rental requirements and provided safety advice. When we retuned the kayaks, we were ten minutes late, but the store didn't charge us a late fee. Not only that, but the owners were exceedingly friendly and they even offered us free pop or coffee as a gratuity to us (I took a cold can of ginger ale)! So kind! I hope I'll be able to rent kayaks from them again soon.

Great experience!!!! Will definitely rent again. The man who helped us was super professional, kind and explains everything really well with the kayak rental. All the equipment was in fairly good condition. You get your paddles, life jacket, first aid kit and key to unlock the kayak at the lake. Super easy and convenient.

Lived down the road always went to this store. Its small but they are so friendly they loved seeing my kids would give them little treats. My bank card didnt go through once they just smiled said bring money when ever i get it then went of talkin to the kids again lol. Also if you are a coffee drinker buy the bear coffee beans they sell roasted in Nelson bc omg i miss that stuff cant get it where I am now. They make it in to big of a pot so its really watered down if you try it in store.

Great service, rental kayaks/canoes (pay here then pickup/dropoff the kayak/canoe right at the lake. Great for ice cream on the way to/from Buntzen as well.

Its a well-placed, independent, convenience store. The prices are actually pretty good here too. They have some variety of protein bars too.

Visited this place a few times now to rent Kayaks from the owners. Very friendly staff that sometimes even come down to the lake to help up get set up. Will be coming back here in the future for sure.

The owners are so kind, I love the convenience of this place, they have almost ANYTHING you could possibly need. Amazing place with a good stock of essentials!

Grab a coffee here every morning. Don't get how someone said the owner is rude, the guy is super polite and occasionally gives me a Korean version of Wagon Wheels as a thank you.

Made the process very easy and simple. Super sweet couple running the business highly recommended!

Perfect place to stop for an ice cream after doing a Buntzen Lake hike! Outdoor seating area too.
