Embalse El Yeso del Cajón del Maipo

Very beautiful. It's worth the drive up, which was pretty much an adventure in itself. I wish we had had more time to walk around, maybe even jump in the water or continue down to the hot springs further into the mountains.

beautiful place with nice spots for photos. highly recommended that you pay for the transfer + guide (more than a hour by car from Santiago). HOT TIP: take with you: snacks, water, sunglasses and sun protection lotion.

Amazing turquoise water from the glaciers nearby. Bring a bathing suit if you want to swim in the pure cold water. The drive there was a little scary because the road is narrow and becomes a dirt road after a while. Go on the weekends if you can to avoid the trucks driving back and forth from the mine on the same road. There are port-a-pottys at the parking area where everyone goes to take pictures. Stop on your way back to see the actual dam which is made of stone. Impressive!

Truly amazing place to visit! We rented a car to go there and it became way cheaper and we could do everything with a lot of time.

Tip: try Chilean Rent a car!

Wow... you should go there.
It is an amazing view and very beautiful.
And it is a work place at the same time so the big truck passes on the dirt road.
It can be windy and we visit during a little colder day so up there it was cold.

My holiday meaningful in this place, lucky we were going ther in starting to summertime well is it super panorama we are discovered, for you guys besides the embálse it self please enjoy driving on the way there

Very scenic spot, we booked a tour with viator and we’re not disappointed. The mountains and the reservoir are spectacular, and they even hosted a picnic for the tour group at the end!

This reservoir high up in the Andes provides most of the water to Santiago.

It has an amazing view and there is a lovely walk.

Highly recommended. Does get busy on weekends

Beautiful place! Breathtaking landscapes there to see. Small cars have to rent chains in order to get there sometimes.

Very beautiful

Great place for an afternoon trip! The contrast between the snow-capped Andes and the peaceful blue-green dammed waters is a feast for the eyes. Go during the week and you won't have to stand the tourist crowd! Bring a sandwich or three and spend the entire day, there's certainly enough sightseeing and hiking to keep you busy.

Hermoso el paisaje en verano, me quede con ganas de conocer el invierno allí, vale muchísimo la pena ir y acampar o mismo hacer un picnic, no tiene detalles malo, esta todo bien señalizado y es bastante intuitivo anda en auto por allá, recomendable una 4x4 o alguna camioneta

Hermoso lugar, tranquilo, mucho viento y sol
Este lugar en invierno es hermoso, aguas turquesas que reflejan el velo de la naturaleza, el silencio y al canto de los cometocinos, maravilloso🎉

Somos de Concepción y conocimos el embalse a inicios de Agosto, fue una gran experiencia, dado que era primera vez que viajábamos al lugar, realizamos una pequeña caminata y pudimos hacer alguna tomas muy bonitas con nuestro dron
