A beautiful nature reserve. The rangers give you valuable advice and a commented map at the start of the hike. Plan a full day for the hike: the views at the top are amazing, and take time to enjoy the magnificent as true along the way.

It was one of the beautiful places I've ever been in my life, the energy and power here is incredible amazing, that why it's called sanctuary, the Lenga Forest and the you enter to a pure Araucaria's Forest, I can't describe how beautiful it is... If you have the time don't miss this opportunity!!!! 🏔🦋✨

Great hike up to the summit with spectacular views and nature. Easy to get bus from Carburgua bus station right to the park entrance and back home too. The park staff are friendly, have English maps and lend out free hiking sticks or poles. Note, there is drinking water half way up so you don't have to carry so much like we did.

A must if you're in the area, it's definetely a tough hike since its all up hill until the very top. But is totally worth it. It took us roughly 6-7 hrs roundtrip with lots of stops.

We were lucky enough that it’d just snowed. Was a magical place. The best hike we did in Chile!

A magical place to visit. The woods are untouched and of an extraordinary beauty with some very old and special trees. The lakes make the hike
even more beautiful. The view from the mirador on the vulcanos and the entire park is a highlight too ! The hike is a lot of uphill
(exhausting), but clearly worth it.

Beautiful natural reserve preserved since 1990 featuring a big mountain thermal rainforest with a lot of wildlife.

The hike itself is decently strenuous, especially if it has rained due to how muddy it can be. But the tough part of the hike is only about 3 hours. With plenty of sites and water points (natural clean healthy creek water!) along the way. At the Refugio there's a nice camping spot inside a covering.

Andres the ranger explained everything well in English, and provided details with a really nice map (waterproof and biodegradable!). The entrance is 4000pesos/pp which is super affordable compared to the other reserves and well worth it considering the conditions and care the foundation & the group apply.

Go and enjoy a nice and beautiful hike with a fantastic view of the valley created from the glaciers melting millenniums ago into what is now lake Villarrica!

Hidden gem. Much more recommended than the nearby Parque Nacional Huerquehue. The entrance fee is not racist like in the Parque Nacional (foreigners have to pay absurdly much more there), the people in charge of the park actually care about their park, are really friendly and enthusiastic about the nature in the park, and you get a really interesting map with useful information about the trail and the local flora and fauna. The park itself is very beautiful. There are ancient arucarian forests, beautiful lagoons and a spectacular viewpoint on top of the highest mountain in the park. In contrast to the Parque Nacional Huerquehue it is not overcrowded, and it offers you a peaceful and quit atmosphere. If you want to trek in the area of Pucon, do yourself and the owners of this park a favor and go here instead of the Parque Nacional.

Nice hike close to Pucon. Did this before the volcano to get ready, different views, very beautiful.

A very nice day walking in this Parc. Some people was camping up there (which I would do if I though about it earlier). It's easy to access from Pucon (30min bus from approx 10am to 6pm) and they take some time to explain the walk at the entrance. (Foreigner price 4000clp)
