Araucanía Airport (Temuco)

A medium-sized airport in the Araucania region, 20 minutes from the main city, Temuco, and about an hour from Villarica, and one and a half from Pucon, among other touristic spots.
It has everything you need, ATM, cafeteria, car rental, it's super clean and has an interesting architecture that evoque the lagoons and woods.

Fantastic airport not too big easy to get around. People helpful. Clean airport nice and quiet

The facility looks brand new. It's quite small, but has enough amenities. You can rent a car or catch a bus, taxi, Uber into town. It is a fair way, to the south, out of town.

I have rented here previously before byuing a car.
Service is good but as with any car rental worldwide be sure to take a picture of the dash before and after to document mileage and fuel levels so they dont charge you for that 1/8 of a tank of gas that the attendants always err in their favor.

Large and spacious. Checking in and baggage drop can be a hassle as there are only three or four counters per airline.
The airport is about 22 km (14 miles?) from Temuco and cabs are expensive. Try a transfer for about one third of the price.
Shops (although I remember one only) are expensive. Bring your own beverages and food.

Very modern. Brisk walk from check-in to boarding. Nice commodities like well kept bathrooms and big cafés. No waiting once boarded.

Small and efficient airport. Baggage claim usually takes 5-10min.
