Restaurante Hummingbird

We stayed at the always intriguing Finca Verde, and love the breakfasts so much we tried the dinner here. We were so glad we did!! Fresh, well prepared, creative and delicious. Very generous portions, professionally served at a reasonable price in a tropical jungle paradise...what's not to love? Two visits now, and we will return.

We ate here both nights that we stayed in Bijigua as our hotel wasn’t serving dinner. Its part of the Finca lodge so quite easy to find if you look for the Finca Lodge sign.
Food was amazing. The enchiladas were really delicious and the hamburgers were made with their own freshly made buns. The fried potatoes with dipping sauces were so good we ordered a 2nd order after quickly finishing the first order. Very good and friendly service.

Very friendly and welcoming staff :) The casados was delicious. My friend got the fish tacos. Both were large portions, the fish tacos were the star! The price was great for the meal.
Nice area full of native plants, orchids and other blooming that attract hummingbirds. We even heard a howler monkey nearby. There are trails behind and guides with zoom to view sloths. Very cool, but we had to get going.

Delicious food and true costa rican vibe in the most beautiful authentic natural setting. The person who served us was so kind, offered us free hibiscus juice, coffee and ice cream with our meal. He made sure my daughter's meal was gluten free and showed us a sloth on the side of the property.

Ate here after a morning in Tenorio. Had the garlic shrimp, chicken enchilada and the casada. All very tasty. Fresh juices and coffee as well. Great lunch and then a tour of the property. Saw both two and three toed sloths, local snakes, bats, toucans, red eyed tree frog, strawberry blue jeans poison dart frog, hummingbirds. Great lunch and super local tour!

The people here are so kind and inviting. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. We only came for lunch but used their walking trail to see wildlife, we saw sloths and monkeys without a guide. Fantastic experience. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed a guided tour of the property to see the flora & fauna of the tropical rainforest and gardens before a delicious lunch.

Best homemade burger in Costa Rica! we have traveled to CR for many years to many different places and I can definitely say this is one of the best burgers and the bun is homemade too!

Absolutely an amazing experience. The food was yummy, a lot of good options, and excellent service. We made a point to say that we would absolutely return to this restaurant and go out of our way to do so.

Lovely place with very nice and kind staff! While waiting for our order we went to for a walk around the territory and saw sloth, monkey and many birds. Food absolutely delicious: the fish was fresh and burger with homemade bun just 👌🏻

After 2 weeks traveling in Costa Rica this was where we came for our last dinner and could not have been happier. Jorge was an amazing host and the meal was fresh and delicious. 5 stars all the way!!

Amazing little place to stop for some delicious lunch, and very clean. We saw lots of wildlife while in the restaurant. Beautiful hummingbirds, sloths, orb spiders and beautiful plants. Also, they have a small car park.

Very good homemade burger and seasoned fries!! The cafe is located on the farm which is quite peaceful, but recommend bug spray in the evening.

Nice little restaurant, tucked away, but worth making the effort to find ase it's nicely set and the food's really good.
