Rios Vegan Food

I love Rios! During a 3 week stay in Puerto Viejo I visited Rios many time;, at their premises and at the weekly market. It was great to have so many tasty vegan options and so handy to pick up and take as an easy meal or snack on busy days out or travelling days. Really friendly staff and a great selection of delicious sweet and savoury baked goods. The creme custard croissant and the pizza with homemade 'cheese' were my favourites.

Delicious vegan home made empanadas, croissants, pizzas and cakes. I bought two empanadas (1700 CR each) plus a banana cake (1300 CR) for my 6 hour ride to La Fortuna.

I had the Bolognese (lentil ragout) and Verde - both were really tasty and filling - the banana cake was divine!!

The place may look a bit rough but you won’t regret eating here.

We came back here twice in one day. The food was amazing! All vegan and plant based. We had the Indian and Mexican empanadas along with the nuggets and parmigiana. We would recommend everyone to try this delicious place!

These guys are booming Talamanca with cruelty free multiple food options
Plant jackfruit plantations if you have a land, these guys will utilise it in to meat alternatives in future :)

And so We don't need syntehtical meats :)
