Le Cameleon Hotel Puerto Viejo

Great place. Wonderful customer service! We had a plumbing issue in our room, so I requested for a different one because we were staying for 4 nights. The manager was able to give us a solution right away and placed us in a better/bigger room too. Everyone were wonderful. Also the place is surrounded with so much nature. Jungle feel right outside your fancy room. I would come back here again!

Location is great, the staff were amazing.

Ana always took care of my room, one day I had two roses, which I appreciated a lot :) Also, the active listening made a difference.

Restaurant was great (I had breakfast and some dinners).
Jungle spa was also perfect. In my case Maxi was the therapist -who is awesome, I strongly recommend him!

Reception team was great. From the moment I arrived till the moment I needed to leave. The check in with Fra was great. That was the very first moment I felt already on holidays (he was calmed, funny, supportive). Coming from several very intense working abroad weeks, this feeling was much needed!

I will definitely come back!

The hotel is beautifully located in the second row of the beach. It was certainly a great hotel when it opened more than ten years ago. Today the hotel is in a very sad and neglected technical condition. Investments in the substance are urgently needed in many places. The sun and the friendly staff don't help either! The restaurant cooks very tasty. Our waiter Diego gave us particularly great pleasure. He was always in a good mood and was very caring.

Came here for our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. The staff was amazing, we rented a motorcycle and drove all up and down the coast. People are very nice and our concierge Daniel was amazing! He was super helpful and was proactive is making our stay as nice as possible. If we go back it will be because he made our stay so enjoyable

Amazing choice to stay here! Overall everything is clean from room to lobby to restaurant. Great location to stay around because it is close to downtown as well as close to other restaurants. Their breakfast is amazing, their pancakes is to die for! Their menu of lunch and dinner it’s amazing and the price is very good. The quality of food, room & service is top notch. It’s perfect distance from the beach. Not busy at all and have friendly people.
Staff are positive, great attitude and good. Highly recommend if you want to stay there.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and we definitely got the most value here. This establishment is a reflection of their staff; and Daniel exceeded our every expectations. He was the best staff member hands down! He offered advice, suggestions and called us cabs and went out of his way a few times to help us make this trip special! If we come back it will be because of his amazing service! Thank you Daniel!

Third time coming to this amazing beach hotel. Brianna in the restaurant was so friendly and helpful every morning at breakfast. We never wanted to leave!

We had an awesome 5 nights @Le Cameleon. The location and amenities are great and many thanks out to the whole Team, and especially Danielle.

Overall the hotel is overpriced, we shared a room between four people but all of what was provided was for 2 people.
Breakfast service was extremely pleasant thanks to one of the servers called Kepner.
Kepner was always very helpful and welcoming.His customer service skills were higher than the restaurant standards.

The room was simple, yet pretty and clean. Both pools were great. The restaurant offers a good breakfast for guests in the morning that’s included. The staff were all very helpful with my 83 year old mother and kind. We did encounter language barriers but it did not hinder the smiles, kindness and genuine caring of each individual we encountered. If you are in this area, I highly recommend this resort. It’s quite, small and to us it was perfect.

We had so much fun and all the staff are fantastic and after several days we saw finally a Tucan just up to entrance of the hotel 😀

Le Cameleon is the perfect oasis to relax with multiple pools, lush gardens and a great beach club. Its rooms are generous in space and modern in design. The resort also puts together many activities for its guests. However what makes Le Cameleon exceptional is the service. I would particularly like to commend Daniel and David at the front desk. Thank you!

I loved this place! Great location on the beach. Very private but close enough to everything. The restaurant had amazing food. The view is incredible. Easily accessible to transportation. It has good Wi -fi and A/C. There are armed security guards at all times. Definitely would return. Make sure you bring some slippers especially if you are going to the pool/ocean a lot because water and sand will be on the floor. That black sand loves to come back with you. Be sure to confirm the water cycle times with the front desk because the water is "turned off" at random times.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Calm location in wild forest. Cosy restaurant, nice stuff. Worth visiting!

I almost don't want to say how wonderful it is here because I want to keep it a secret, lol. It's beautiful, the service is first class. I hope to return.

Best staff at the hotel and the Beach club, it was very relaxing vacation stay at this beautiful resort. Tropical fruits and smoothies to start the day, location is excellent with easy access to the private beach. Entire staff works beyond expectations to easy our comfort. The property was very clean and pool area was very tropical. Highly recommend this resort.

A top place to stay in Puerto Viejo, nice staff, clean, nice swimming pools and just in front of a beautiful beach. Breakfast super good in the restaurant in front of the sea. Rooms are nice and fully equipped, our one with a view on the jungle. Good management and location a 3 km from city center but via a tuk tuk 2 dollar trip to go there

This was by far the best jungle/ocean resort in CR. Everyone and everything was so fantastic. Service was great, food was great, grounds were postcard perfect, everything was in walking distance. Rented some scooters and took off to explore all the beautiful beaches. Hotel room was just spectacular. The balcony was so private and gorgeous. Saw a sloth 🦥 on the property climbing some bamboo. The whole experience couldn’t have been more perfect! Would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel/resort to anyone wanting to experience Costa Rica at it’s finest 😊

Overall really enjoyed this place. I will be coming back. They upgraded our room to beachfront. It was beautiful. The grounds are very pretty; loved the beach and pools. The food was ok. Got to see a sloth right above my lounge chair. Close to town. Great location.
